We are desperate to have a team good at something

It's a Wednesday night game at 6 PM. We're never going to draw 15,400 to a Wednesday night game at 6 PM unless the opponent supplies 1K (Kentucky). Ever.
Again, if our gym held 8,500, the game Wednesday night would be sold out and you wouldn't be able to get in for less than $60-75. Just take a look at StubHub and see how many tickets are $5 and where they are, and then realize what it would look like if you removed the 6,000 worst seats.
This isn't rocket science.

No one cared enough in your other thread so you started a new one?
I would hope the #1 team would fill up their 9,000 seat arena.

Aggies are just discovering we have a basketball team, we had forgotten the sport existed over the last several years.

their 9,000 seat arena.
Was a great move to make it this small. It is considered a very difficult place to play now and a big advantage for Auburn teams.

Lulz, now we are bragging about prices of a ticket to your high school gym.

Higher attendance numbers and a much cheaper price at Bama. Seems like a win/win. Your boasting on this subject makes no sense. Congrats on high ticket prices

I sometimes think the same about disch falk, but they've done a good job filling it up quite a bit by May, especially whenever Texas is hosting regionals and/or super regionals

There is no win about playing in that airplane hanger.

It's the smart thing to do. The older arenas built pre-1990 were built as multi-use facilities for graduations, concerts, etc. Nothing worse than having a numerically good crowd and having it look relatively small or meh because the gym is a cavern.
That's the problem Alabama (and it sounds like Texas) have. You guys have a new arena almost done, we're probably announcing one in the next 2-3 weeks. So hopefully the league gets 2 more new arenas in the next few years.

Not new, but a much much much needed upgrade coming to Reed.

This major upgrade will refresh our basketball arena to include premier seating and club areas with hospitality services. We will widen our concourse and open it up to improve access and viewing while visiting concessions. We will reconfigure how our arena looks on the inside and offer more dynamic and engaging visuals to bring a second-to-none experience to student-athletes and fans.

Nice - it's a relatively new arena, isn't it? Late 90s? Always thought it seemed to have pretty good bones on the inside in terms of setup.

Opened in 98. Very cookie cutter arena. Built for multiuse purposes and not solely a basketball area. I think the better option would be the start over, but I don't think that is likely.

Sure. Doesn't mean he didn't frick up some other things.

Alabana basketball fans are now Auburn basketball fans so that is a hot ticket

Yes sir…. A blind squirrel finds that nut every now and then. But the addition of the Tiger-Walk Club is pathetic.

Unreal what BP has done there. Absolutely unreal.
