He has spoken and so it is. We can put this to rest now.

SEC's football officials coordinator walks through LSU-Texas A&M calls

quote:

That game kinda gave a shot in the arm to a rule change. But, 255 plays and when you have seven overtimes, that’s 14 red-zone opportunities which puts even more pressure on your officiating. If you believed the social media kinda view, that was the worst officiated game in the history of SEC football. And I step back and I look at, 255 plays and I’m going to tell ya, that crew worked a heck of a game. And if you go down the stretch — and we actually did — the commissioner asked that we met with the Advocate because there was this whole thing of ‘Every play was wrong.’ And really, this was the only social media apology I think we ever got.

He did admit one call was marginal.

quote:

During his explanation, Shaw admitted that the flag Greedy Williams drew for pass interference on the 2-point conversion in the seventh overtime was a “potentially, marginally, missed call.”

Now you’ve done it...left the gate open and the damn yapping miniature fans will descend on the board barking like seals. Get ready for a deluge of “we were cheated,” “Bama bias (even though it was aTM), SEC office in Birmingham... mumble mumble... Chargers, leave the SEC, Ritter and replay, LUS is always cheated, ESPN-news media-refs all hate LYS ...call the FBI, get hot chocolate, cheating SEC scheduling cheats LUS, everyone has an easy schedule except LUS, Alabama never has to play 7OTs and that ain’t fair...waaaahhhhh, WAAAAHHHHHH

And since this line was supposed to be about aTM vs LSU, of course by some strange teletransportation, some LUSer fan will post 44-16,as if that was some powerful LSU medicine.

Aggy better hope LSU is playing it’s 5th and 6th DB again this year. That’s going to be one unfriendly as frick environment in November. It’s just what the rivalry needed and I love it.

Looks like he avoided the catch/no catch call. Which makes sense, considering, ya know...he is simply defending himself.

It’s not an excuse. Most teams would struggle putting Terrance Alexander and Ed Paris on those freaks y’all were running out there. But y’all got Greedy too. That unit had a decent night up until the back half of the 4th quarter then the wheels fell off.

Lol excuses. In a game like that, it’s gonna be a toss up for those exact reasons

Had a&m lost you’d agree with that statement

Yea ya know the deciding play in the game that gift wrapped the win is just a marginally missed call. Whatevs guys. No big deal.

ETA: that phantom PI was every bit as bad as the saints no call. The game should’ve gone to another overtime.
