You have to go all the way back to 2010 to find an SEC Eastern division opponent Alabama lost to. And that was the South Carolina Gamecocks. Coincidentally enough, Alabama returns to Columbia this year for a long-awaited rematch.

2010 Alabama vs. South Carolina Football Highlights

The Crimson Tide has lost 13 games this decade and that one is by far the "worst" of all of them. The final AP rankings for the 13 teams that beat us this decade are as follows:

2010 South Carolina - #22
2010 LSU Tigers - #8
2010 Auburn Tigers - #1
2011 LSU Tigers - #2
2012 Texas A&M Aggies - #5
2013 Auburn Tigers - #2
2013 Oklahoma Sooners - #6
2014 Ole Miss Rebels - #17
2014 Ohio State Buckeyes - #1
2015 Ole Miss Rebels - #10
2016 Clemson Tigers - #1
2017 Auburn Tigers - #10
2018 Clemson Tigers - #1

Every team to beat Alabama since 2008 has finished inside the Top 20 - save one. 2010 South Carolina. Only one other team finished outside the Top 10 and notched a victory over the Tide and that was 2014 Ole Miss.

Auburn 3-6 is the best. What is your main rivals record against Bama in the same period. 0-9?

You and I both know that Auburn is Alabama's main rival and always has been. Tennessee is our second biggest rival and always has been. There have been times in the past where the Third Saturday in October rivalry was arguably more intense, but the Iron Bowl was still the biggest game of the year.

Our 2010 team is probably better than #22. A baffling loss to Kentucky killed our rank

Crap. They have a similar record against the West.

Auburn has had some success, and Ole Miss, I guess. But if your point is that the east has been bad in the recent past, then yes. You are correct.

We'll see if we can't extend our winning streak against Bama this season.

Most of Bama's wins against the East came against The Volololols.

Now, imagine this before you go off thinking you've done something special against the East.

The Volololillies have been pretty much everyone's whipping post for the past decade.

Well considering USC played Cam Newton twice that year and the Kentucky loss will keep you from being ranked to high. That 2010 was really pretty Damn good and USC went on to 3 consecutive 11-2 seasons after

The loss to the Cocks and the 2 to Ole Miss are inexcusable. The rest I can understand.

Wasn't that the year Saban was crying about teams having bye weeks before their game?

And their wasn't anything flukey about USC beating Bama that day. The score doesn't indicate the true beat down Spurrier layer on Saban that day

Alabama lost the last game they played.

Pass it on.

I agree with that. The loss is still inexcusable.

The loss to the Cocks

This just proves you to be an ignorant fricking assclown.

Evidently Bama just has a hard time with teams from the Great Palmetto State, or so it does appear.

When we lose to Bama we too say it is inexcusable ... bitch.

Wish more fans of teams in the conference took the same attitude.

Upvote to you.

Even so. This is an amazing fact.

Bama is a combined 24-9 against the 2 major colleges in your state.

Everyone’s whipping post except the greatest South Carolina football team in school history in 2013.

Not that it really matters now, but it must have sucked watching the Vololols cost the cocks any chance of playing for anything meaningful. Y’all will get that first conference title one day.
