Holy fricking shite how many threads are LSU fans going to start today saying the exact same thing.
Probably half as many as you Bammers will start saying Bama should make the Playoff despite not winning against the only decent team on your schedule.

I want it to happen. Hopefully this will be the driver to an 8 team playoff. Conference champions requirement with two wild card teams.

Yea - I think that would be a pretty good setup.

Well said.
We truly need to reorganize college football at the D-1 level.
I like the 16 team format with 10-11 games with 8 team divisions. 12 such divisions is 96 teams. Frankly even that dilutes the lower end more than I think most of us would like.
I think we’re much more likely to find what is truly the best team that way.

That was mainly Najee.

Dave: get this through your head: a one-loss Alabama team will be in the Playoffs, no matter how many other undefeated and one-loss teams there may be.
If LSU is #1 and Alabama is #4 there will be a rematch and it will be an HONOR to play that team again.
Reality can be very difficult at times, son, but the smart grown-ups have always known this: for LSU to be NC again, they will have to beat Alabama, beat the SEC East Champ and then beat Alabama again. OK? Now go play in your room.

Does that not count for our offense either along with the long pass plays not counting?
LSU played a great first half defensively. They were shredded in the second half. The LSU offense made all the plays to win in the 4th quarter under immense pressure - incredibly impressive, but to act like Alabama just scored on some fluky plays in the 2nd half is pretty disingenuous. If LSU had faltered on offense and given Alabama the ball back down 6 then LSU was going to fall behind. Everyone knew that. And that is what made LSU's 3 straight possessions at the end even more impressive.
Those 2 TD drives in the 4th quarter should have sealed the Heisman for Burrow.

Of course Najee counts. He played a great game and arguably should have seen more of the ball in the first half. We were talking about stopping Tua though. Our defense did a very good job of applying enough pressure and keeping Tua at bay outside of those big plays. I was personally pleasantly surprised.

Agree with the cajun - wonders will never cease. Unless something drastic happens, Bama should be out of the playoff discussion

They've already killed the regular season.
