Maybe I’m just being a homer, but how does putting Alabama in the final 4 benefit college football? Part of the fun of college football is seeing teams like Minnesota and Utah this year go on unexpected runs. These teams rarely are in positions to have success, and it’s fun getting to see them compete at the highest level. Not to mention, if they finish the year with 1 loss or undefeated, they will have better resumes than Alabama.

Why should Alabama deserve another shot then? They had their chance to beat LSU, and they blew it. What about them says they are deserving of getting a mulligan? Is it because they have a bunch of 4 and 5 star players? If that’s the case, why didn’t 2016 LSU get in the playoffs? That team was loaded with talent but didn’t really beat anyone worth a shite either. It just sticks in my craw that the media believes Alabama should get yet another opportunity when there are other teams that have better accolades this season.

TLDR there are other teams P5 this season who have better resumes than Bama and deserve a shot, which would benefit college football as a whole

I would prefer to play Bama over their fellow next-tier teams that can sneak in. LSU just decidedly outplayed them.

They still have that quick strike ability and with no threat of Tua running they lost an element of their attack. If Bama sneaks in they are threat to win it all just like LSU.

LSU just beat bama in Tuscaloosa. Bama has the worst resume of any top 10 team. Why should a team make the playoffs if they have no ranked wins and lost to the only ranked team they’ve played?

Not terrified we just beat them, but they’re certainly good enough to beat us if we played them again. Felt the same thing about Florida when I was expecting them to win the east.

They flat out can't stop LSU's offense. LSU would have hung 50+ on their arse if Saahdiq Charles doesn't whiff on a block.

Tua also put up a lot of yards but a material chunk of those came from 2 busted plays, one of which was miscommunication and poor organization out of the defensive coaching staff. LSU's secondary got gashed a couple of times but throughout the game they actually did a good job, especially on 3rd downs. Tua was just not able to move the ball consistently with his arm other than that first drive.

Tua had 8 combined rushing yards over his last 4 games

He's still a scrambler that looks to throw. He was a sitting duck in the pocket. It certainly what we are used to seeing with him.

He made more great throws on secondary reads in the 2nd half then he has all season......most of them after side stepping pressure.

I'm sure he was hurting, but I didn't see much outside of a few runs (the fumble, the slide at midfield) that looked like he was struggling with the ankle.

We scored TDs on 4 straight possessions in the 2nd half, all of them drives of 75+ yards, 3 of them drives of 10+ plays.

Don't be dumb.

Then he SHOULDN’T BE frickING PLAYING. Dude is a top 5 NFL pick and you’re going to risk his health? What is the potential of Auburn’s d-line getting some hits on him?
