Really haven't followed that too much. It'll always be Saban's defense but what changes (if any) do you expect for the offense?

It seems to be plug & play at this point. Saban could hire Scot Loeffler and Ellis Johnson and probably still win the NC.

Don't really know that much about either one. They will orchestrate what Saban says he wants to see and that's good enough for me.

I honestly couldn't tell u either ones name though. Seriously, I don't know what their names are. I think the OC is Locksley or he might be the DC. He's one of them.

Not concerned about OC. I think we'll be better there. Daboll wasn't that good in my opinion. Plus we are absolutely loaded on the offensive side. Maybe more than we've ever been.

Concerned about DC. I think Pruitt is the best DC in the country and thought he was an upgrade from Kirby. Now we have a guy who to my knowledge has never called a defense doing it. Granted Saban is on that side of the ball and will help out and Pete Golding also has experience there and is highly thought of. Still, when you couple that with an almost entirely new secondary and the communication that has to take place, I'm going to be a tad nervous against the really good passing teams.

Cant even tell you who is there anymore, seems like coaches spend, 1, 2 maybe 3 years max and move on now. But it doesnt matter because Saban has stockpiled such a silly amount of talent nobody can screw it up.

Losing Pruitt is going to hurt. Not worried about the Defense because of Saban.

We have so much young elite talent on Offense not worried about that either. Tua is a phenom.

As for the DC, I've read where Lupoi tends to be very aggressive, so I expect he'll be a bit more like Pruitt as opposed to Kirby...but, this being his first gig, there's no experience to base anything on as yet...

As OC, Locksley has experience...I read where, as OC at Illinois, Locksley adapted his offense to his personnel. In '06 and '07, the Illini offense led the Big 10 in rushing and was top 10 nationally in rushing offense. In '08, they led the Big 10 in passing yards per game. He's also well liked in the locker room...

It'll be wait and see but I'm cautiously optimistic 'bout both...

I'm more concerned with the OC. He's a guy that Saban has passed over multiple times, including this year when he went out and tried to hire somebody else before settling for Locksley.

DC should be really solid. I've heard nothing but great things about the guy from everyone. He's going to be the next big time up-and-coming defensive coordinator who'll probably get a big head coaching job in the next 5 years. Basically the next Jeremy Pruitt/Kirby Smart

How’d he pass over Locksley multiple times if he’s only been at Alabama since 2016? A full time position coach for only 2017.

I'm excited about Lupoi on the defensive side of things. His rise to DC is very similar to what Kirby's was before Saban handed the reins to him. Worked about the same amount of time under Saban to get a feel for things and then given the keys to defense.

Gone back and looked at what Locksley did at Maryland and it should be fairly easy for him to get things going with the amount of weapons he has on that side of the ball. We have seen the offense go back and forth over the past 4 years with Kiffen and Daboll. We go from Pro-power football (pre-Kiffen) to more of a hurry up type offense, back to more of a traditional pro set with Daboll. Some of what I have been reading is to try and meld those 2 together with Locksley. Either way, Saban is still at Bama, so I expect good things.

Locksley did a decent job at Illinois and Maryland as OC. But he’s far more valuable as a recruiter in the DMV. He’s nearly lights out.

Josh Gattis as co-OC is interesting as well. Exceptional recruiter. Just getting his feet wet as a play caller.

I just think there's so much talent on offense that it's going to be hard to screw it up. Picking the wrong QB would be a quick way, but I can't see that happening. Tua's spring injury is the only thing that threw a bit of a wrench in things.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Not really sure what to expect. Both coaches really had Saban in a tight spot because he didn't want to lose their recruiting. I think it's a situation that he's willing to take a chance just to keep them around. We can't lose Tosh.

If Locksley can hang around for 3 years or so as OC, I think Gattis will be the next O.C. The guy is a recruiting monster

I think the impact that Enos will make on the offensive side of the ball will be huge. I expect he will make Jalen more of a passing threat and will reduce the turnover potential with Tua!!

He passed him over when he hired Daboll. There was talk that he felt he should've been given the job. He also wasn't Saban's first choice this go around. He ended up settling for Locksley after failing to get a couple of other guys. You could also count Saban's going with Sarikisian. That's three times, and multiple coaches he tried to get before Locksley. For whatever reason, Saban has tried to avoid hiring Locksley as OC.

It's like being at the bar and you've got a 7 hanging all over you, but you try your luck with a few 8s, and a 9, but you end up settling for the 7. That's the vibe i get with Locksley
