Considering Alabama has been an almost constant feature at #1 in the AP Poll most of the last decade, we've shot up all the #1 metrics.

Most polls at #1

1. Ohio State 105
2. Oklahoma 101
3. Alabama 98
Notre Dame 98

Alabama will move to 99 next week, considering it's a bye week.

Most games played as #1

1. Ohio State 88
2. Alabama 82
Oklahoma 82

Once again, Bama will move up to 83 in a few weeks.

Most wins as #1

1. Ohio State 75
2. Oklahoma 74
3. Alabama 71

And of course, least we forget, times finished at #1

1. Alabama 10
2. Notre Dame 8
3. Oklahoma 7
4. Miami (FL) 5
Ohio State 5
USC 5

They’ve removed all debate about best all time program with the Saban run added on to an already elite history.

What Bowden accomplished was extremely impressive considering the status of the program he took over. He took a piece of shite and turned it into a diamond. FSU had won 4 games in three years when he took over and basically sucked before that. He had 14 consecutive AP top 5 finishes and that was while playing Miami and UF at the height of their awesomeness each year. He took them to 28 consecutive bowls.

If Bama only claimed 7, that would be more than UGA and L6U combined. So,

So, OSU is the most overrated program in the history of football.

Not really surprising, honestly.

Bama could have been even more dominant...they were interested in him, but opted for Bill Curry instead. Then Bowden went on the streak of 14 consecutive top 5 finishes. They offered it to him after Curry, but he turned them down.

Let's talk bout history...

Bama lost in the NCG last year.

The past won't help you win a game.

I always liked Bobby and I like to read about the legends. He actually said he had talked with LSU and had the damn contract folded in his desk to become the next LSU head coach, but he was going to play LSU and let the outcome of the game decide if he'd stay or go to LSU. FSU won a tight one and he said that made him feel like they could become a major force. The coach LSU hired after he turned them down never coached a game because his plane went down coming back from a recruiting trip and he was never found.

I remember that, don’t recall his name, but that was a tragic event.
