Personally I think a trend towards less but more comfortable seating would not be such a bad thing.

2 hours away and you use a hotel?

Why?

He doesn't trust that '93 Escort for a 1 day over-and back trip, and he hasn't saved the money to update the tag on the pickup.

Sorry you think drunk driving 90+ miles is OK. I don't, especially with kids.

You think I sit through an Auburn game fricking sober?

It’s because of their weak arse schedules.

Sagarin's Strength-of-Shedule ranking of Alabama and LSU since Saban's been at Bama:

2007 - LSU (11), Alabama (30)
2008 - Alabama (28), LSU (33)
2009 - Alabama (2), LSU (5)
2010 - Alabama (14), LSU (15)
2011 - LSU (7), Alabama (15)
2012 - LSU (15), Alabama (19)
2013 - LSU (25), Alabama (39)
2014 - Alabama (2), LSU (5)
2015 - Alabama (1), LSU (5)
2016 - Alabama (1), LSU (5)
2017 - Alabama (27), LSU (54)

Average - Alabama (16.2), LSU (16.4)

I guess you're not happy with LSU's weak arse schedule either, right?

What I don't understand is why they don't just lower ticket prices. Isn't that common sense? If you're having trouble filling up the stadium, you lower the prices. Duh?

You could at least do it for upper deck seating

Alabama doesnt have a problem selling tickets Theyre being proactive knowing more and more people will evetually stay at home.

Don't we already do that for the rent-a-win games? Seems those are usually around $40, while SEC games are around $75-$100.

And it's not really the tickets prices that keeps people away. $20 to park a mile away, ridiculous concession prices, hotel room if you can find one. It adds up quickly for a family of four, before even mentioning the hassle of traffic, getting a tailgating spot, etc. The whole experience has just gotten to be too much of a hassle for folks that live 2+ hour away. Add in the ESPN contract that relegates a lot of games to either 11AM or 7 or 8PM kickoffs, and it just makes the problem worse.

And there it is. If ticket prices dropped, the universities would make about the same amount due to the priced out fans coming to fill the stadium. I know it is hard to drive from central Florida to T'town and back due to gas prices, let alone have to buy a ticket (or two, three or four.) I do not mind the drive (about 10 hours one way.)

And it really wouldn't hurt revenue. There is enough tv money
