Not reading this whole thread, and I'm sure it's already been asked, but what's with the coaches and the blue bow ties? tia.

Between that tattoo, ESPN running a Jeremy Lin article titled "Chink in the Armor" and Kevin Costner saying "that's a tree we can all hang from" at a predominately black funeral, today has been funny as hell.

Hahahaha UT you guys should be ashamed. Y'all lost to a post rotation of Carl and Moussa and actually made them look good. Great win today

My assessment, if anyone wants it( which they probably don't) :
Gueye had 6 blocks in 16 minutes. He needs to regain some speed and lose some weight. He still isn't in playing form from his ACL injury. I don't think. He was awesome in JUCO. I think he can have a huge impact for this team, later down the road.
Engstrom needs to work on his feet, increase bball IQ, and incorporate a softer touch into his game.
Randolph/Lacey/Cooper...they all have to be aggressive. Lacey was incredibly aggressive today and Randolph is a always aggressive defensively but not so much on offense. Cooper just disappears at times
Releford has to work on his jump shot and be more consistent. H it seems like 75% off his points comes on break aways and cuts to the basket, which is fine. However, I'd like to see him doing a better job with jump shots.
Steele, I don't know how much you are going to get out of him. He is a motor and keeps everything going. He is a good player to have. He brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the team. He also needs to work on medium range stuff. He tries to cut to the basket a shite ton and sometimes he shouldn't.

Its absurd how happy I am that we won that game. I was not confident going in, to say the least. I don't care that Tennessee was inept (and they really were), or that the officials called some of the most bizarre fouls I've seen in a while.
We just desperately needed that.
It was good to see Lacey do well but the best part of the whole day was Moussa's defense. Granted, some of it was the zone and doubling the post, and some of it was Tennessee's bizarre decision to live on the three point line, but he looks like he could be a real shot blocker. Engstrom played pretty well too.
I wouldn't mess with the starting lineup. Jacobs is too much of a liability defensively.

Something has clicked with Carl. He just looks like he knows what he's doing out there. Maybe he can continue that and be a pretty okay player for us next year. Lacey needs to stay this aggressive and live at the line. It was nice to see.
