He's exactly what you need at Bama. Kinda like when we had Matt Flynn.

Now on this, I have to disagree. He is a great college QB in the Bama system, but at best, a back up in the NFL.
And for that Johnny Manzell fella, he's a scat back masquerading as a QB, and shouldn't even be mentioned in this thread. Although at this point, I'd take him over Mettenberger.

Murray, Wilson and McCarron are definitely at the top. Still see Wilson as the best of the group though.

I think mccarron is very underrated though. he's an NFL QB IMHO. he can make every last throw. i don't think he gets anywhere near enoughc redit, but i wilson and russell have skill sets he just doesn't have

If you're going to rank quarterbacks based on "pure talent," you're going to have to put Manziel and Driskel much higher.

Wilson is the better player but AJ is the better college qb, if that makes any sense... AJ is like the Alex Smith of college football

I know Wilson is better, but I'm thrilled with how much AJ has matured over the last 14 months. Night and day.
