No doubt he has made a great living being a backup QB. Maybe the best job in professional sports.

An infinitesimally small percentage of football players in the world even get a shot to put on an NFL uniform, and the vast majority of them wash out in under 5 years.
McCarron has been playing for 8 years, more than double the average NFL career legth, and there's a very real chance he will be around for a while longer.
Hell look at Chase Daniel. He has a super bowl ring and how much money has he made and how many regular season snaps has he taken in the past 13 years or so? shite I'd take that job
Thing is those guys keep getting jobs because they're instrumental in prep work for the real starter and there's no controversy about them being the starter, everyone knows what the deal is when they're on the roster.
