Maybe, but he's brought us two national titles, he's probably the best QB we've ever had, and he loves the university and the fans, and so many of you disrespectful "fans" repay him by calling him a douche every chance you get.

Is he a douche or not? That's the only question that is relevant, no matter what he's done. I appreciate the heck out of him for his contribution, but that doesn't mean I get worked up if people call him a douche, especially if it's deserved.

Probably interning for his first "real" job.

Football season needs to get here. I need a reason to hate you bastards again. I'm flaming you in an AJ/NASCAR thread. Is this a new low?

Are you gay?

This does actually bring up a legitimate, and interesting, issue. Per the letter of the law, I really don't see how this isn't an impermissible benefit. Why was it an infraction when Julio and Ingram went on that fishing trip with that creepy guy with no ties to the school, while ESPN Outdoors (I think it was them) pushed this feel good story that same year by taking Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy on a fishing trip? It just seems like the NCAA looks the other way when it's anything that brings them any publicity. Or maybe they make a white QB exception?

It does kind of make you think. I'd say technically, AJ's status as Alabama's QB allowed him this opportunity. Which I think is frowned upon by the NCAA, right? But Bamas athletics department aren't idiots. They wouldn't clear this if there was some murkiness to the issue.
