Ags, with your defense and Max at QB, you can win some games.

Max was calm and poised in the pocket from the get-go when he first started playing at lsu. I don't know how good he can be, because he hasn't played behind a better than average oline yet.

still, he can help you win just like he did this week.

I wish Max was as mobile as Jayden… we actually might have a little something cooking!

Talking about stout defense, shutting down State was impressive.

Very Nice win!

He may never play behind a decent OL, at this rate.

Max Johnson wasn't good at LSU, LSU WRs were good. He's a statue with a weird wind up and weak arm.

It’s going to be funny how many teams are far worse than App State this year. Why do Arkansas fans think Aggies won’t win a since conference game?

I always liked Max at LSU and didn’t get the shite some people were spouting but typical LSU QB garbage really. He’ll do well I think.

He looked fine in the Miami game. Cool in the pocket. Stood in there and threw strikes. His completion percentage didn’t reflect that because receivers were rarely open. The guys that were suspended accounted for almost half of our completions this year. I’m curious to see how he does with those guys who can get some separation.

He’s going to be a bridge until Conner is ready. Probably South Carolina.

I don’t think anyone knows how good this kid can be. He was never given a fair shake at LSU. Bad coaching, depleted team rosters, No O line to speak of, no playmakers. He had some great games as a freshman for LSU. His stats against Miami would have been quite a bit better if not for about a half dozen flat arse drops. Hopefully with the return of the top WR’s that improves. Coaching? IDK. Jimbo’s play calling sucks right now. But hell, I’d love to see a Johnson to Johnson touchdown.

This whole thread ain't nothing but an Aggie jerk fest over an average QB.

Wow, an LSU fan who is honest enough to admit Max Johnson is a good QB. Rare in Rantland. Here's to your honesty and to Jimbo for finally realizing that fundamentals and IQ matters over flash.

You're gonna have to double down on that since the Vols will lose in BR.

Remains to be seen. But last weekend wasn’t a mind-blowing cluster frick of frustration like life with Haynes King has been. So it’s a start.

Thought LSU played great against that leach offense. QB can run as well. Future looks bright.

Yeah but at least he could usually get it to them. Especially Boutte and Bech.
