I have never really gotten why so many A&M fans love Alabama. I get the Stallings connection, but honestly, they will never see your team as a worthy opponent.
Which is a mistake, imo. A&M has not gotten there over night, but no one can deny A&M is making a dedicated push to being a major football power. I do think y'all missed a bit of an opportunity with Texas being down, but have corrected that by hiring Jimbo.
IT may not be next year, but I think soon A&M will be in stiking distance of winning the West.

4th largest private endowment in the SEC.. Vandy's, Florida's and Mizzou's are larger.
AD dept is 7th in revenue, 8th in reserve cash flow and #1 in debt and #1 in debt to revenue ratio.
The catch? $9B in endowment is from the state of Texas that actually isn't $9B.. it's the annual dividends from that source of revenue and cannot be used for athletics.
A&M has raised and spent a ton of money by an aggressive campaign on the heels of the SEC move and selling 30 year bonds for the most part. Any school can do the same.. nobody else ever has and ever will.
If you have money, you certainly don't talk about it. The only significant and difference making money they have was gifted by the state of Texas and can't be touched outside of annual dividends.. by comparison the University of Texas gets 100% more of that state revenue.
If aggy had real money they'd be in Vandy's shoes regarding private endowment, not owe the academic side >$10,000,000 for 10 years and actually give annual AD profits back to the University (no other top 25 program doesn't).
Leveraged to the hilt, alumni dump all their money in football vs academics, brag about wealth, false revenue reporting... you do the math:

This is the second time you have compared A&M to Northwestern. In no way, is A&M like Northwestern. It's just random AF. A&M is a poorer, more redneck, nouveau riche version of Texas.
