Happy to get out of the contract or sad to lose him?

Genuinely curious.

*not saying it happens, just a hypothetical

I would completely and absolutely shocked. Like 100x more shocked than when we beat Bama. It just seems like such an unrealistic option.

Why would he go there? I thought LSU could do better than that?

I would be stunned more than anything. Would be bad for our football program. I don’t see LSU making him the highest paid coach in America and guaranteeing him 100+ million but crazier things have happened

“It’s always about the money.”
Nick Saban.

Jimbo isn’t leaving College Station until he’s asked to do so.

I have to admit - seeing the collective LSU fanbase do a complete 180 on their opinion of Fisher’s coaching ability would be well worth the price of admission - just for the trolling material available.

That’s a direct quote from the man. Some of you don’t know shite about these people. Read their own books.

Devastated

But I have nothing to worry about because LSU fans have been saying he's garbage for 4 years.

I'd hate (well, kind of love) to see the amount of money and length of contract LSU would have to offer Jimbo to leave A&M.

Beyond the ridiculous contract and the pile of money, I don't think he has much keeping him there. So, a higher bidder could probably get him, but he already isn't worth the contract he has, so it would be foolish to even attempt.

I would be pretty upset, unless we hit an immediate home run afterwards of course

When is the last time a major coach or player took less money by choice?

Maybe an aging vet who just wants one last chance at a ring, but that’s about it. They’re usually not very highly in demand anyway.

Astounded. Would hurt the program. Jimbo is a very solid coach.

If Elko is promoted to Head Coach and hires a top offensive coordinator, it would basically be RC Slocum all over again, only without the horrific offenses.

Good for you. How does it apply to this situation?
I guess LSU breaks the bank for Jimbo.
