Aggie was not consulted about bringing in OU and Texas

Prominent Big 12 source tells the American-Statesman the Texas-OU move to the SEC is almost done. "They've been working on this for a minimum of 6 months, and the A&M leadership was left out of discussions and wasn't told about it." Move could become official in a week.

This is Texas trying to stick it to the Aggies or Big12 trying to salt the waters more than they already are at this point.

I'm kind of done with the reading into the small details of who did what or who said what. If it's gonna happen, let it happen. I'm ready for the big games and even the big games in baseball too

Aggies aren’t respected by anyone and it’s hilarious

Yeah, I'm nut buying that BS. tu and the big 12 - 2 are still bitter over our departure a decade ago.
tu and 0u might join; they might not. But the notion that the real "power brokers" in the SEC did this without consulting the in-state conference member is poppycock.
Put on your thinking hat.

Who the hell respects Auburn?

If that ends up being true that’s a bad look for the SEC (and sounds like Texas), and more likely the direction the SEC will move with Texas.
SEC will be weaker and less united overall with Texas as a member.

Greg Sankey is an a-hole, and should have dialed A&M in, but it is what it is.

There's no way that's true. I strongly suspect A&M has been trying to get 4 no votes in private for months and only leaked this when it became apparent they wouldn't have the votes to stop it

There’s no way JUST the Aggies weren’t consulted. That has to mean the SEC office did this without really consulting any individual programs. You can’t tell me they’re was a secret meeting with every program but A&M that not only occurred but somehow managed to remain secret without one of those programs spreading word back to A&M.

Yeah I would be surprised if they just cut us out individually. I would think individual schools weren’t involved in this until very recently

When are you guys going to understand you aren’t as big of a deal as you think you are?
You really think the other schools give a shite if you guys hate UT? They knew you’d bitch and moan about it so they got the votes they needed without informing the teams they didn’t need. It’s seems pretty simple. It happens in business all the time.

This is true also.
But no matter what happens we should get to laugh at someone.

When are you going to understand that you aren't as smart as you think you are? This is actually a terrible way to do business.
Do you really think Sankey would bring FSU on board without talking to Florida? UL without talking to UK? Clemson without talking to USC?
Jeebus. This place is overflowing with stupidity.

He followed that tweet up with
“Asked about A&M being kept in the dark during secret negotiations between Texas-OU and SEC, one connected SEC source tells me, "I wouldn't dispute that."

We'll why would they if they think A&M would be against it?

To be fair, when we did get looped in we leaked it to try and stop it so maybe the SEC knows what it was doing.
