How big of a loss is Wade Taylor? Legit question, saw he was out on the Bama board.

It’s a loss. For sure. But actually he’s also an enormous asset as a bench coach. The players are very motivated by him. If you watch his coaching during the OU game the guy literally poured his spirit into his teammates every possession.

He’s an awesome leader. Yes he’s a loss offensively but he’s a gain from a coaching standpoint when he’s not playing.

He coached Phelps to a 34 point game. The first in his career.

OU shot 58 percent from 3. And lost. Coming back from 18 down to win. That was all Wade Taylor leadership and getting his team to believe in the impossible.

So I think he’s a warrior. On or off the court.

His replacement, Phelps, seems like he could be a player.

Honestly, what we seemed to miss with Taylor out was his “court general” presence. His ability to distribute and make passes to just about anyone is incredible. He’s very good at setting up his teammates to score. Phelps replaced his points, actually did more than him. But he is an outstanding guy to run your offense. He’s very good.

Phelps will need to do better and distributing to everyone else.

For the record I think Bama wins this. Last time we played they shot 41 shots from 3. A crazy number and they absolutely light it up. Defensively we will have to stop that. They are very good at finding an open three. So I think Bama wins it.

Bama 99. Aggies. 94.

What is wrong with Taylor?

We’ve been playing good the first two SEC games but the competition gets real tonight. Winning on the road is always tough but we have the players to do it. We’ve been missing a lot of free throws which isn’t good for a driving to the basket team. If we start hitting threes earlier, watch out.

A regular Coach K. Get out of here with that fluff. It’s a huge loss for A&M. OU’s defense sucked. Unless Phelps goes unconscious again, this is a 15+ Bama win.

This is a battle of styles, and who can dictate the pace. Not having Taylor is a big blow to the Ags, but if they can play at their pace, they can still win this game. If they keep it in the 60's Ags win, if Bama gets it to the 80's they win. Anything in the middle is a toss up.

It should be a great game to watch.

It’s not fluff. I was at the game. He coached on his feet up and down the sidelines almost like an assistant coach would. And coach after the game actually offered him a job when he decides to not play. Buzz said “Four willed us to victory with what he said to the players. I said, to keep saying it. He’s a great leader.”

We will not lose by 15.

Wade Taylor has played 124 games for the aggies and he is a preseason All American.

That is not a legit question. It's a stupid question.

This sums it up. I think Bama is going to out-athlete A&M in this game. It’s what they’ve done the last two matchups. A&M has the home court advantage and will give Phelps plenty of opportunity to heat check. A&M needs some role player to step up and go for 15+.

That I can agree with. Our bigs need to be a factor and we absolutely need to make this a half court game. Phelps will step up but we need our bigs to score more. Along with others.

You can with no respect, kiss my arse. I don’t follow Texas A&M and wanted a legit answer from their fans, not internet searches. Go find someone else to bother.

Massive. He’s our best player.

But we’re deep. We could have problems scoring without Taylor. We got lucky that Phelps was on vs OU.

I view him like a Chris Paul type role.

Floor general distributing the ball, can step up and score when needed.

But not irreplaceable.
