An oxymoron I know. Anyhow, any good high school football near College Station? I wanna see what all the hype is about with regard to Texas HSFB

If you can put LSU or Louisiana in your OP, you might get some Aggys to come out of hiding and respond. They usually can't resist that.

They are afraid the big bad Whorns will troLLOLOLOL them if they hang out on tRant too long.

Yeah they’re totally obsessed and you’re showing perfectly normal levels of obsession with this post

I'm so obsessed I didn't post at all most of this summer.

Just making some candid observations.

As for the OP, seems most of the top HS football teams in Texas are in the big metros. With the notable exception of McConaughey's alma mater up in Longview.
alright alright alright

A&M Consolidated won a title in 1991, College Station HS won it two years ago and Navasota, Cameron Yoe, Rockdale, Iola, Hearne, Bremond, etc. etc. are in the vicinity.

Outside of seeing a particular 4/5* recruit, why the frick would you watch a bunch of 17 year olds (that you have no connection to) play football?

Get down to Northern Houston suburbs for all the hype, Like Spring and Cypress.

But, to the OP on what all the big deal is, I played in this stadium (Mesquite ISD) back in the late 80s-90s.:

Capacity is 20,000, which is now too small.

Then, there are the new Dallas-area High School stadiums, like Allen:

(actually the photo is not Allen. That's wierd)
And McKinney:

That's just to give you an idea of the atmosphere. They blow out most "Division 2" colleges (or FPS programs).

8/29/19 North Shore @ Katy. Little bit of a drive but will be worth it.

OP has heard about all the big time HS football in Texas and is wanting to know if there is any around College Station so he can see a game when he's there.

I would say College Station High School is playing some pretty good football from what I've read the last few years.

The school is only like 5 years old and already winning championships.

Might be worth checking out if high school football interests him.

ETA: Larry Fedora's brother is the HC at A&M Consolidated(frick consol/Go Big Blue) so they aren't bad either and have some Power 5 recruits on the squad.

Because we like to watch good football? ESPN broadcasts some HS games.

I think I'll hold off on asking why you like watching football if you think it's a requirement that the players be of legal age
