ND has said they aren't going to join a conference. They are 'talking' to the NCAA about trying to schedule a 13th game but what does that really matter?

ND is a relic of a program. 0-6 in BCS/CFP games by an average score of 38-6. They are irrelevant.

Clemson is scheduling 2 sec teams a year plus acc schedule and conf title game. Can't argue with their format.

Notre Dame has joined the ACC in all sports besides football

In football they play 5 ACC schools per season by contract

Notre Dame is already in a conference and waiting till some old donors die off to make it official

I know it's all sports but fb. I figured after this past season's decisions that being in a conf. would be a requirement for the CFP.

I think the contracts go thru 2025

After that is when I am guessing the go ACC

You can't really get half pregnant and that is where the Irish are now so not sure it can stay that way in the future.

At some point they'll become a full football member of the ACC. Likely when their current tv contract expires and the football Powers that Be "make" them join the conference.

The P5 conferences could refuse to give them a seat at the table in future football decisions or freeze them out of the Playoffs. The change could come as part of the negotiations for the 8 team playoff schedule that we'll have in 5 years or so.
