Yeah Greene had just about every benefit you can think of over murray.
OL: Our 02 line was all seniors IIRC, probably the best under Richt. 01 and 04 were solid. 03 was the worst we had with 5 new starters though.
Murray has had pretty average OLs his whole career, '13 should be the best he's had. Advantage to Greene.
WR: Terrence, fred gibson, michael johnson, reggie brown, damien gary vs AJ, mitchell, king, brown, bennett, wooten. Take your pick
TE: McMichael, Watson, Pope vs Orson and lynch/rome. Greene wins in landslide
RB: Greene had Jasper, Musa, Lumpkin, Ware, Brown. Murray has had Ealey, King, Crowell, and now Gurshall. Edge to Greene because he had more consistent and better production. Gurshall is tops between the 2 groups, but it's only been 1 year, whereas Greene had good RB support for 3 years.
Defensive help: Greene wins in a landslide
Opposition: UF was slightly better for Greene than murray. SC is definitley better for Murray than Greene. UT definitely better for Greene. Vandy better for Murray. UK is a wash. AU was better for Greene. You could call this a wash I guess. Don't feel like thinking/looking up the west teams each year.
Kicking game: Greene in a landslide.
With that said...Greene did still make big plays when they were needed and rarely turned the ball over. There's a lot to be said for that from a QB.

The offense didn't run through Greene. It ran through the running game.
2012 was the first year for Murray that he had running support and his numbers were unreal.
You put a lot more pressure on a QB, and you're going to see costly mistakes.
It's just how it is. Matt Ryan threw 19 interceptions his 5th year senior season. But he had barely more run support than Murray in the 2011 season.

Depends what Murray does this year. David Greene pretty much revived our program and won us an SEC title so right now he's on the top unless Murray can win a title this year.
This. Murray obviously has more physical tools, but I felt more comfortable with Greene in clutch moments than I do Murray at this point.
yep this
