"Ole Miss has been special to me and my family and I could have stayed there for a long, long time," he said. "But when you're contacted by a top-five athletic department, where they have all of these resources, 500,000 former students, the only SEC program in the state of Texas – that's a big platform. "It gives you a chance to not only be a top five program, but grow. We can still improve. This was a no-brainer opportunity."

Congrats on the weak, puppet AD. He took the easy way out every time while he was in Oxford.

Spoken like someone who just lost their fearless leader with no hope to find someone half as good.

I wanted him fired when he made the decision to go for “exemplary cooperation” with the NCAA and basically made their case for them and we got hammered. Then was happy as hell Matt Luke won the Egg Bowl 2 years ago so that he could the easy way out and hire Luke. His days were numbered in Oxford anyway.

Top 5 programs do not hire the walking dead. You are really having a hard time justifying the hire in your head and keep coming here attempting to get confirmation. You are like the pankReb of A&M.

You mean like Woodward leaving A&M for LSU?

We hired a football coach that has a HC natty ring for $75MM.

Our AD does not need to be an Einstein. Hell, I could hire good coaches for the Aggies with the pay we can offer.

Why did you quote those two? Did you get confused.

1 says top 5. 1 says not only top 5 but grow. Aka higher than top 5.

If/when the NCAA comes knocking, I hope you understand that you hired an AD that will completely roll over and throw your schools arse up in the air to be reamed, and will protect himself at all costs.

That’s actually the opposite of what he did. He supported his scumbag coach and tried to save shitty Ole Miss.

So 2 stupid decisions in a row. Gotcha! Actually 3 - guaranteed $75mm is double dumb!
