Yes. A&M is a sleeping juggernaut that has recently awoken. They have more money than you. More instate talent. And once OBC retires, a better coach. Sorry. I'd rather not have them if I were any east team

I don't know. They have tasted success so early. That fanbase is gonna be savage for winning teams and not settle for less. I think they turn into a perennial top 6-10 team for the next three decades.

Coach Miles has a good point.

How about keeping Bama/Tenn and UGA/AU and everybody else that wants to rotates?

I would much rather see A&M play more new teams from the east each year. Would make for a lot better road trips rather than visiting the same stadium a lot of times. No offense to USCe, they are a great team.

I'm all for a 9-game conference schedule.

It allows Bama, UT, AU and UGA to keep their historic rivalries.

I really don't understand why there isn't a 9-game conference schedule.

Cancel the Georgia States, App St., Towsons of the football schedule.

The big problem with the 9 game conference schedule is that in a given year some teams will have 4 home conference games, some will have 5. This would be a competitive advantage.

Who and how will this be determined?

That's the $64,000 question. Do you do a #1 to #1, #2 to #2, etc interdivisional games based on last years results? Has LSU, A&M, SCar and whoever else put forth a scheduling plan?

That's my problem with a 9 game schedule too. I prefer 10 games. We can do 6-1-3, or 6-2-2. The latter would allow for UF and AU to play each every year like they used to.

UF and SCar probably won't like 10 games since #11 is FSU and Clemson respectively. Though it would be nice if the other clubs tried to get a decent OOC.

nb4:what about UGA?...GaTech isn't quite what she used to be...but fair enough though.

B10 is doing it where each division takes turns.

In our case, West teams could have 5 in even years, and East in odd years

Pretty fair

So is Alleva et. al. suggesting rotating all interdivisional games, and trying to ensure everyone plays everyone over a certain period?

4 home games, 4 away games, and a neutral game for UF/UG.

That could work. I still am not a fan of 9 games, but I could at least get onboard with that.

As long as we can play AU and UT, I don't care who else we play or anyone else plays.

UGA and Bama are the only two games that really matter to me. I always like the UTk game too.

I remember watching my first college football game on color tv back in 1965 or '66 at neighbors house...it was a Bama-UGA game and a darn good one. Have they played each other since?
