LSU fans couldn't agree more. What it didn't provide was parity.

Frankly I'll be pretty pissed if the LSU-UF series stops.
My favorite game every year, and its also the matchup I've personally been to the most.
Met great LSU fans each time, no issues at all.

I don't know why we can't just adopt the Spurrier solution. Only count games within the same division when it comes to determining who wins their division.
How about not counting the permanent cross-divisional games? That way, with a nine game conference schedule, you would still have 8 games to determine divisional titles.

Good attitude. I like tough schedules and use them as a source of pride. Can also use it to argue superiority over teams with weaker schedules. However, I would never use the differences in schedules to cry that it's not fair.
LSU, you play Bama every year. Just beat them when you play them and let the chips fall.

Then you would have no problem with not counting the permanent cross-divisional games for divisional titles.
I think I have the final solution for everybody!
Where am I wrong?

That's an interesting idea. Best of both worlds.

During the expansion someone made a scheduling matrix called "the roommate" that was the most equitable way I have seen that preserved the traditional rivalry games as well. Look it up if you can.

That's exactly what I'm saying, it's a parody.

Yep, but I got news for you, Tennessee will never be again what they once were. They have no natural recruiting grounds, and college football has become such a big business, that they'll never be able to raid other states like they used to. I'm not saying they'll turn into Vandy, or never put a string of decent seasons together, but even now LSU has passed them for the #2 spot in the conference.
I hate to say it, and don't tell them I did, but A&M will quickly take UTs 'Big 6' spot.

You might want to learn a little bit about the other teams before you spout this shite.
That's my point, I'd like to learn more about those teams, but they don't want to show up on our schedule.
I see you're scared, that's okay, there's no geting out of the annual game with LSU for Auburn.

Problem solved; permanent cross-rival opponent games don't count towards divisional titles.
Bama can have its cake, and LSU can eat it too!
We are all in unanimous agreement!

Well let's see. Between our two teams. One team wants to at Florida every year and one does not. one team has played significantly more top 30 teams in their history compared to the other. One team tried to change divisions so they could play Uga uf and bama every year, while the other teams whines about playing those teams. I'll let you be the judge of which team is "scared"

Since you failed to respond in my other thread. I'll ask again. If you are an osu fan, what lot do the freshman park their cars? I am about to take off, so I will let trey take it from here. I'll check in, in a few hours.

I mean everybody can play their traditional cream puffs: Bama/Tenn, Ole Miss/Vanderbult, Miss St./Kentucky, etc. and they don't count towards divisional titles.
Who can complain about that?
I always park on the West Campus lot for games, but I didn't go to Ohio St.
