A&M sucks - so why does the media love them?

Since A&M joined the SEC, they have been ranked in the top ten 7 out of 10 seasons. Not counting 2020's weird season, they have won 34 SEC games. Mississippi State has won 32, and the head to head series is 5-5, and State has won 4 of the last 6.
Polls suck.

Texas A&M is Miami/ND lite. For some reason the media just wants them to be so good and when there’s even a glimmer of decency they are highly ranked and talked about

Idk wtf was making all of these “analysts” claim this year was aTm’s year to take the west.
I never saw the hype.

Can't argue that A&M sucks right now but the media loves us? Seriously? When we were ranked it was like we were a forgotten team in terms of coverage. It's like we didn't exist on Gameday. Then of course we got sooooo much love last year propelling us into the Playoff over a ND team that got blown out and an Ohio State team that won 6 games.
We suck and I can own that but A&M certainly isn't "loved" by the media and never will be, A&M has a tiny journalism department and no A&M grads are analysts on any show to my knowledge. So much low hanging fruit to beat up on Aggy right now and this is the crap you are talking about?

They are from Texas and it is a huge state. It is a bout making money and you do so by hyping up teams in large states. You don't see it as much in smaller states.

Not even close. Go look at pre and post season rankings for thr past 10 years and get back to me.
