From the very early practice reports, King and Johnson have been taking turns with the 1s and 2s. The freshman has been mainly with the 3s. Still anyone's to win.

Max Johnson will win it. A game manager that holds on to the ball too long but won't make mistakes that lose you the game. Won't win you the big games either. 8-4 again.

If he doesn't win it, what does it say about him? He has the most experience by a long shot and came here specifically because he thought he would start. He even brought little bro along. BTW he's been absolutely killing it at TE.
But, a little birdy told me Haynes is off to the best start in fall camp even though he hasn't been able to use his legs yet.

Hopefully, Haynes. I just think he has a higher upside. Either one will be better than non-Alabama Calzada though. (I don't think Weigman is actually in the mix)

Not sure as far as the specific question but my guess is whoever starts game 1, there’s a good chance they are not the starter once we start SEC play.
