This looks like another low scoring SEC defensive struggle. MSU currently sits at No. 1 in the COUNTRY in scoring defense, only giving up 12.7 points per game. Their problem is their offense is hard pressed to score more than 12 points a game themselves. Texas A&M's front did a great job against Bama's running game, making the score somewhat respectable. They shut down Snell against Kentucky and kept Clemson from running away with that game.

O-line appears to be a weak link for the Aggies right now, which doesn't bode well against the best front in college football. I don't see the Aggies being able to do much on the ground, so it will be up to Mond to get it done. He may be the one to do the damage on the ground.

This isn't a great match for Miss St on offense because A&M's strength is stopping the run. I don't see them getting going either.

I'm going with A&M gutting out an ugly game, something like 13-10. If A&M keeps winning and LSU is somehow able to pull out a miracle on Bama, it could be an epic showdown in College Station at the end of the season.

anyone know what the over/under is? I don't ever bet but last week against LSU it was 44. If it is 50 I'd take it again for this game 44 would be pushing it but still a good bet. I think we score a few more points and play an new QB.

I will be very interested in seeing what the O/U is for this one. It wasn't out when I checked this morning.

This is a bit of hyperbole. UK had no issue beating that front for 229 yards and 4 TDs. I wouldn't call A&M great at rushing the passer and they avg the same # of sacks per game vs p5 teams as MSU does.

Keep in min Jimbo & Elko had an extra week to rest and prepare while MSU was busy getting their teeth kicked in.

That may be, but two will be first rounders and another a second rounder. They have a lot of next level talent. And yes, Kentucky did have some success against them. My guess is they didn't match Kentucky's intensity in that game. Stoops has them boys playing at a high level every week. Plus, it's easy when people keep picking against you. Like this week, Kentucky has been lights out all season, yet they are a seven point underdog to Missouri. I think they blow Mizzou out honestly. It's a bad matchup for the Tigers.

The D-Line wasn't as much of an issue against Kentucky as the Linebackers not filling gaps, and safeties coming downhill too fast and overpursuing the tackle. Our D-line is for real. Too bad Grandpa Joe has wasted them this year.

These bye weeks can go one of two ways. Sometimes you can lose momentum. A&M was on a nice roll after the loss at BDS, winning three tough battles in a row.

MSU lost their first game out of the chute after their bye, after righting the ship with a nice win over Auburn.

Like I said, I think the Aggies win, but I'd be shocked if this is anything but a battle. If you guys blow their doors off, I will be impressed.

They do have some high-end talent. Last I checked Clemson had 4 first round types and a 2 deep that could start a lot of places. MSU doesn't possess that kind of depth. I think it'll be part of their downfall. A&M usually dominates the TOP. ST play to win the field position battle (GOAT Punter). If we put their already poor offense in bad spots then I think we can force them to keep their defense on the field and wear down in the 2nd half.

Its true, but we needed the break to get healthy. We bring back one of our top WRs and a starting OL.

A&M wins 27-0. our offense throws 2 pick sixes and 2 more to setup easy A&M fgs. A&ms punter sets us up for bad field position and challanges us to get a safety

Honestly, I see Miss state as 1 dimensional and we have an elite Run defense.

Our all-world punter will keep Miss State backed up deep in their territory all night, and our run D will force Fitz to throw the ball.

I see this as a 20-13 type game.
