Good for New York. Big East sports can be back on.

Sounds like Florida is testing at a rate that no one in the world has done since their positive % is so low.

Florida also had 333 individual labs report 100% positives on all tests.

How does that happen?

Florida still isn't even close to the deaths in New York City. The south was in good shape until all the protests.

The simple solution is just say all football games are a BLM protest and we have college football.

According to worldometers New York state had 17 Covid-19 deaths yesterday and have had 8 so far today.

This site does not have stats for New York City itself.

How do they count Covid deaths, those that die with Covid or those that die because of Covid?

According to John Hopkins University, a known pinko commie institution with zero medical credibility (that's sarcasm folks) Florida is getting about 20% positive tests on a rolling 7 day average.

LINK

That number isn't much of a surprise because most states are limiting testing to patients who are either displaying some symptoms, who have potentially been in contact with someone who has the virus, or need a negative test result so they can travel or return to work.

Ah. Yes. I fear Mr. Cole might have stepped on his weenie slightly.

Those were not daily numbers he was looking at. They were total testing numbers through that date. Meaning from the start of this right up until the day he posted that. So, Lab24INC did not report 444 positive tests in one day. They've reported that many over the course of the pandemic.

Also, I should add, not every state requires clinics to report negative tests. Just the positive ones. Lee Memorial Health, for example, has reported 397 positive results. At a staggering 100% rate! Yet their own data shows they've tested about 33,467 specimens. They have not been reporting their negative cases.

LINK

Mr. Cole, who is an economist, was guilty of not doing his research into the numbers. I am no expert and it took me 15 minutes to find this information and I spent part of that time trying to convince my cat to not lay down on my keyboard.

Yes. This an absolute scandal. Florida needs to require that testing clinics provide their negative results along with their positive ones... something the vast majority of clinics in Florida appear to do.

Because Florida does not require them to report negative test results, though most do so. Go take a look at the Lee Memorial tweet I posted. They've tested 33k but have only reported the 397 positives.

Here’s some evidence that certain reporters want more testing so that things look worse

Florida today reported 15k new cases, a record. It’s being blasted all over twitter by Bernie Bernstein nyc and dc journalists

Yet: positivity rate at a 2.5 week low.

Florida conducted an astounding 150k tests yesterday. By far the most per capita of anywhere in the world yesterday. We were told throughout this entire pandemic that testing is paramount. Well, we get the testing and journalists use the scary numbers the mass testing produces to push a narrative

This was obviously a (poor) jab at Flahrida but one is about deaths and one is about new cases.
