A Real Ranking Of The SEC Coaches

And seriously...exactly what has Spurrier won at South Carolina? One trip to Atlanta to get his arse handed to him? Granted, he's turned the program around and made it competitive, but in that regard he hasn't done a whole lot more than James Franklin.

lol. someone is still butthurt over the 2010 game.

and he said championships aside, so asking what he has won at USC is pretty dumb. How much has he won would be a better question.

And James Franklin has had one 9 win season at Vandy. Spurrier has had back to back top 10 finishes. I'd say thats a whole lot more

Butthurt over 2010? You're a funny guy. That's the best you've got? Relatively speaking, Franklin has taken Vandy just as far as Spurrier has taken USCe, if not farther. What's really dumb is to suggest that Spurrier has accomplished as much, relative to the state of the programs they inherited, than Franklin. Carolinacock's whole point, in case you were unable to grasp it, was that Spurrier is so awesome because he has won in places that other coaches had been unable to. Spurrier's first five years produced roughly the same winning percentage as the four previous years. Then, in year six, he finally gets them above average. In only two years, Franklin took a program in far worse shape and has taken it much farther, relatively speaking, than Spurrier has taken his, and in a much more difficult place to win. Back to back bowls and the most wins in a season, ever. That's a helluva lot farther, relative to their programs, than Spurrier has taken his program. So as far as Carolinacock's basic point...yeah, Franklin's performance at Vandy is even more remarkable than Spurrier's.

Richt is only 1 of five men in all of FBS (Div IA) history to record 115 wins in the first 12 seasons as head coach.
