Well obviously if he's almost as highly rated he'll be just as good!

Lucky for him he'll get to start out at RT, a much less demanding position, because we're moving Matthews to LT if Jockal leaves.

Joeckal's backup was almost as highly ranked out of HS as he was.

Ok clemson/FSU I'm not talking bad about the kid...but you will quickly learn in this league that it's not all about * rankings. We ALL get those kids. It's not like comparing your recruits to baylor's anymore

I suspect A&M will crush the Tigahs and Gators next year.

That's all.

We're currently recruiting as good as anyone. Our current class is dead even with LSU and just a couple spots behind Florida and Bama.

We are quickly assuming control of the most fertile recruiting state in the nation. No reason to believe we won't finish in the top 10 in recruiting every year for a while now that we're taking a lot of kids that Texas, OU and LSU wanted.

If you are going to go that fast you can't ask guys to learn a ton of plays.

What A&M does is extremely simple but they really effect the game with tempo and one hell of a QB.

I look for them to be more run heavy next year, because they will have to find a way to protect the passer. They have two draft picks at tackle that made a huge difference this year.

If Kingsbury leaves they will have a significant drop off.

Jordan Jefferson was a 4 star. Just letting you know some people can be busts

And Johnny was a 3 star, so some people play above their ranking.

For the most part, it's Sumlin's offense. We'll be just fine.

We're really not hurting on the OL front either. Combine that with the arsenal of receivers we have and are getting, it's gonna be raid city in yall's secondary.

Why? He's just running Sumlin's offense. The guy is three years removed from being a general assistant, I hardly think he alone is the difference in our success. However good he is (and I do think he's good) Sumlin made him that way.

Joe Cheek (2nd Generation A&M offensive lineman) got quite a bit of playing time this year as a RS freshman. He was the one lined up at TE (#79) in our "jumbo" package.

Is he projected to play tackle next year?

Already played quite a bit of tackle as Jake Matthews' backup.

Worst case scenario is that we slide Ogbuehi (RG #70) to RT, which is his natural position and start either Cheek or Ifedi at RG.

He participated in eight games. He was our second string LT and the extra TE in our run heavy formations. Considering how much time our second string spent on the field in blowouts, I'd guess at least 100 snaps. He played almost the entire second half of three games.

I thought Nathan Gutekunst (#60) was the backup LT and Cheek was the backup RT. Cheek, at 6'7, is our tallest lineman right now.

The score in the 4th quarter was the perfect pass that our db barely missed. If you are waiting for 4 quarters for that one play then your staff is stupid.

So you are saying your goal is to score points in the 1st quarter and then hang on until the 4th quarter? WTF is that?

That's going to be good for y'all. I'm interested to see how A&M's season goes next year. A lot of people like to talk shite and say everyone will figure you out, but it's true in a lot of ways. The good thing for A&M is...there are only about 3-4 defenses with the talent to even match up right now so it really doesn't matter if the SEC "figures" you out.

aTm caught it just right...just the same as Malzahn did with Cam. The Jims and Joes matched up perfectly to the X's and O's. I sure as hell don't wish injury on the kid, but I would be interested to see if aTm minus JFF = AU minus Cam.

I don't worry about being "figured out" because truth be told, we were "figured out" this year. MSU played us the EXACT same way schematically that LSU did and we put up almost 700 yards.
