This won’t go over well here in the land of false bravado and unchecked bragging but here goes.

What Heupel has done with the disaster Pruitt left is nothing short of amazing. Your team is on the cusp of something historic, your offense is frightening and your defense looks light years better. Your team is well coached, playing great team football and you have better than a punchers chance of beating us.

I still think we win, coming close to covering the spread even. When that happens it won’t mean much in terms of the change Heupel has made in your program. You’re gonna be an issue while he’s your coach.

Welcome back Vol fans, you’ve been wandering in the desert of bad football for far too long.

Tennessee at full strength is good for the SEC whether we want to admit it or not.

Dooley, Jones and Pruitt are the "trifecta of ineptitude" when it comes to head coaches. We have been a 5hitshow for the better part of 15 years. Thanks for the acknowledgement from what we've overcome.

My experience as a fan is that Nearly all fans from other schools are pleasant and fun to be around in game days. The exception is, more than others, GT fans. But many of them seem to be attending their first football games…so they don’t know how to act. If y’all win, I’ll pop a beer and wait for the “I told you” call from my brother in law. Will make Thanksgiving suck a little.

Agree with everything but this....

Two of my best friends are Vol fans. But almost all of the rest I have run into in real life or on the net are the worst kind of football fans you'll find.

I've had some bad experiences with some Georgia fans...but have some friends who are awesome people that are actual UGA alums. When I was a kid, I used to dive over the back of the couch holding a football pretending to be Herschel Walker going over the pile. I was a UT fan, but recognized excellence in the player I still believe to be the greatest college football player to don a helmet.

I remember when we didn't play every year...and I've always thought the series with Georgia was special (even before it became an annual event, after the installation of the division system).

Georgia is a more talented team, and Kirby has built an incredible program. Personally, I hated to see Mark Richt go, because I admired him so much as a person.

It would be awesome if the loser of this game makes it back into the playoff picture.

I cant disagree, GA has a great team and is coached very well.

As far as having an issue with Heupel: Not immediately, not for losing to GA this weekend. Yeah, there will be some bytching, melting, crying, but nothing out of the normal on trant. The guys been there 1.5 years and has done pretty good so far.

Like any SEC school, as long as he is winning 9-10+ games a year, chances are hes staying. And like most schools (other than Bama), eventually, they will have great couple seasons and a Natty may fall into their lap.

Yeah, there may be an issue down the road (sex scandal, drunken brawl, Chappaquiddick incident in the Tennessee River etc.), but I hope not.

Good thread, thanks

Great post but Vols are going to win big imo. UGA doesn't match up nearly as well as Bama did against us.

You can't really beat us over the top so it will be much easier to keep everything in front of us on defense and play bend but don't break while sending the dogs after Stetson early and often and firce sone turnovers and big loss of yardage sacks/tackles leading to some UGA punts.

Then you need to get out more, most Vol fans are good folks. I will give you that we have some of the worst(best) internet trolls you will find anywhere. That is because fricking with people to rile them up is almost a sport itself in Tennessee.

Most of us were around in 2014 and remember who was ranked #1 in the very first CFP rankings. Wake me up when the Vols spend as many weeks ranked #1 as the other Dawgs.

That’s everyone’s plans. Stet is one of the least sacked and pressured qbs in the country.

I agree with you that they have had an incredible year.

What I want to see them do is sustain the winning for more than one year. Sometimes teams caught lightening in a bottle for year, Auburn with Cam, Burrow at LSU, and I am sure there are other I can't think of right now. Let's see what happens next year and the next before we say they are BACK.

We got to Bryce early and often and we will get to Stetson as well. How he handles it will be key.

That was very kind of you sir. It’s true every single year we get our hopes up only to be let down. I liked Butch Jones I think he was a good coach but just couldn’t finish. He recruited well but I still can’t put a finger on what he done to mess up so much. Good luck Dawg nation we are coming to test out that defense and bring those goal post back to Knoxville:

Last year might have actually been a better coaching job than this year. That was a 2-10 roster going 7-6. We had the thinnest roster in college football.
