Should LSU lose the Alabama game, how will you feel about him?

Mind you. I like the guy. I think he's done a much better job than I thought he would. Solid. Not a caretaker at all.

But, this will be another loss and this time with the best LSU team in years. Do you stay the course or start looking again?

How does the game go? One score and bama wins on a last minute drive?

Ok coach we will get them next year at home.

Blow out?
Probably more doubt and negativity

You don't change course on a shrimp boat.

You continue forward, because that's where the payday is.

Heres my take.

Our offense will have us in the game. Win or lose this wont be a blowout this time.

And who comes after Bama?

Arkansas, OM, A&M?

Odds are we dont lose another. Very high playoff chance with georgias defeat.

I’m fine with going 11-1, still getting a playoff spot because of SoS then beating Bama.

As someone who was vocally against the hire, it would depend on 1. how we lost and 2. how the rest of the season goes. O has shown he is capable of recognizing the weaknesses in this team and taking the necessary steps to fix them. If we only drop a close game to Bama, youd have to be out of your mind to be clamoring for a replacement.

Honestly if he can keep BRady around and keep bringin g in Top 5 classes, i still think we can improve.

This is a great team, but there are still issues on certain places.

I admit, you people are not as bad as the Aubs on the subject. Gus would be gone if his buyout wasn't so high and if Saban goes in there and thumps him this year, he will be IMO.

If we lose to Bama and win out we have a great shot at still getting into the playoff.

I would stay the course for sure. O is doing something special and is successfully recruiting higher rated players than he has now. He's shown the ability to make changes, and pick the right personnel. I trust him to make the right moves.

No a loss won't be the problem, it is how LSU has been losing with the Miles Philosophy. Run, Run, and throw on 3rd down. Bama shuts the run down on down 1 and 2, QB is 3rd and Long and can't throw. LSU was trying to play Bama inside a basement room, a phone booth, etc. etc. Make Bama play the entire field and go after them. If you lose, and lets be objective here, Bama is at home, will be the favorite, so statistically, Bama is the likely winner of the game. Bama has been playing in these types of games every year, it has been since the 2015 game the last time LSU was really in this type of game. I like Joe B to handle the pressure and LSU to play well, but winning at BDS will be a tough task.

When Sagan loses to Tigers this year ,do you fire him ? Being that Bama don’t look as talented this year ? Maybe he has lost him drive. What you think?

You sure do start a lot of threads for not being concerned.

This isn't gonna come down to O vs Saban. It's coming down to defense. 1 stop is all it will take for the other to play catchup. Winner of the coin toss, whoever gets the most defensive stops or TO's and who can keep the throttle down on offense. Both teams will score at will and have shown it all year. LSU might have a better rushing attack to balance but Alabama has the better-known commodity and pedigree at WR. Though LSU is closing that gap.

On defense LSU still isn't healthy. LSU isn't generating much of a pass rush and that needs to change. LSU had a few dropped Ints by Delpit, Queen, Fulton(x2) that could have changed that game this past weekend to a blowout. It feels like we have a nice combination of size and speed, but aren't elite at any level of the defense at the moment.

So to answer your question it will be less about how I feel about O should we lose and more about the circumstances that led to the loss. If those were bonehead decisions by the HC then yes it is on O, but if it was decided by the coin toss and last possession won the game then there isn't much you can do. RPO offenses don't even allow elite defenses to shine.

Its going to be a tall task to beat Bama but if LSU makes the game very competitive he wont get much heat

It does not change my opinion of him.... but I'm not like some irritating arse LSU fans that seem to think we only play one game a season

Your OP is stupid, if Saban loses to LSU at home and is not in the playoffs, will Alabama be looking for Saban’s replacement.?

As long as we don't shite the bed while looking totally unprepared like last year, he'll be fine. If LSU is 11-1 with the 1 being a slobber knocker to Bama, we still may get in the playoffs.

Now one thing I am concerned about is after the season, what will happen with Brady? If O allows another school to snatch Brady as OC due to his loyalty to Ensminger, and the offense goes back to shite, he will feel some heat from the fan base.

He has to beat Alabama or at least get to the CFP. And he needs to do it this year because unless he has another grad transfer QB up his sleeve, I'm not optimistic about the offense next year with Myles Brennan at QB.
