It's offseason so bare with me ...
There are 7 different types of programs ...
1. Programs that only expect to win Natties, dont' give a shite about anything else:
Alabama
2. Teams that want to be Alabama so bad (not beat evidently):
LSU
Georgia
3. Those that just want to get back to former glory:
Florida
4. Teams that want some modicum of respect and attention:
Texas A&M
Missouri
5. Programs that just want to beat their rival and nothing else:
Auburn
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Kentucky
6. Teams that just want to play a respectable game of football against an FBS opponent:
Arkansas
South Carolina
7. Those that just want to say they have a football team:
Tennessee
Vandy

if this was true, then why did we fire Gus?

Because you’re a basketball school now

Good point - with that shite hire it’s obvious Auburn doesn’t care about beating their rivals anymore

Alabama was the only rival we were beating somewhat regularly with Gus. So, no.

Every team wants that type of success.

Yes. What's your point?

Gus was 3-5 against Bama and 2-7 against Georgia. Combined 5-12 against Auburn's biggest rivals.
That's why he was fired.

Well, let's add not a single win in Baton Rouge. Losing to Will Muschamp. Losing to Jeremy Pruitt. Almost losing games to Arkansas and Ole Miss last year. Getting steamrolled by UGA when it counted in 2017. Losing to National Champion UCF the same season. Getting arse-raped by Minnesota. Oh, and a recruiting class that was ranked in the 70s a week before early signing day. Do I need to go into OL line recruiting or complete and total lack of development at the QB position? Or the fricking locker room dance after barely winning a PAINFUL game vs. Miss State?
is that enough?
