A&M has to find a way to beat Ole Miss this weekend, and if so a possible T8 is within sight. A host is essentially guaranteed no matter what happens in Hoover. What Schloss has accomplished is amazing

Not too shabby for the team picked 13th in the SEC and a first year head coach!

Arkansas should have dropped out of the top 10.

Doesn't happen when you win 17 SEC games before the last weekend.

Vandy is a good team, with a good RPI. Arkansas wasn't going to fall very far

Between him and hot head Tony V, they should run away with the votes for SEC and National Coach of the Year.

The D1 rankings are going to have a hard time reconciling with the resumes come selection Sunday, especially as host sites go:

#4 Stanford - 14 RPI, 35 SOS, 5-8 vs top 50

#8 Ok State - 12 RPI, 14 SOS, 11-12 vs top 50

#15 Maryland - 13 RPI, 112 SOS, 3-4 vs top 50

#18 Auburn - 4 RPI, 4 SOS, 11-12 vs top 50

#21 Vandy - 3 RPI, 5 SOS, 8-12 vs top 50

Georgia - 5 RPI, 3 SOS, 12-13 vs top 50

They are but it was a winnable game at home that would have helped improve the chances of a national seed. The RPI and SOS doesn't reflect that Arkansas is deserving of still being in the top 10 over teams with superior RPI and SOS.

Yes, I think the polls have more faith in the hogs than the fans do.

A&M has an RPI problem, but the fact is that we haven't lost a series in awhile. However, the difference between AU, Arkansas and A&M is razor thin and that will be proved out in regional play. I still have concerns about A&M's pitching but Schloss has his team believing

One more week and all becomes clear

The polls are comparing the Hogs to everyone else. Hog fans are comparing the Hogs to last year's team.

Beneficiary from past success. The polls, SOS and RPI need to be on the same page because the differences in how they rate these teams is confusing. Sometimes the eye test is better.

It’s nice not having to look at the polls on Monday and know that your team is #1 still.
