TAMU's 3-7 record is the worst through 10 games by a team ranked Top 6 in the preseason AP Poll since Alabama in 2000.

I figured that’s what y'all were going for. Y'all just tried to start at the wrong part of the process (mega-salary for HC and full-throttle to win now). You gotta make them hungry first, with a half-decade of bad seasons including a couple dozen vacated wins for humility, then hope you catch lightning in a bottle and hope the GOAT coach falls in your lap.
Most historically mediocre teams can’t follow this model because Bama was a sleeping giant traditional power…but good luck.
You’d have been better served to have taken the path of TCU or Clemson and tried to build over time for brief peaks of relevance followed by periods of rebuilding. You are trying to be more than you are and in so doing, you are breaking your program.

We had Billy G running wild in town.
Our training/health staff is from bama and you can see how well that is working out.
