SEC Country

After winning the national championship back in January, Alabama remains one of the top projected teams in the country entering the upcoming season.

So it’s no surprise that the Crimson Tide top all teams in the updated odds to win the national championship this season, as released by online sportsbook BetDSI on Monday.

Alabama has the best odds at +225, beating out Ohio State (+600), Clemson (+640) and Georgia (+800), which the Crimson Tide beat in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

The Tide and the Bulldogs aren’t the only SEC teams represented among the ones with the best odds to win the national championship. Auburn (+2500) and LSU (+300) are also included on the list of the 13 schools.

These odds were released on the same day that the Supreme Court legalized sports betting, so changes will certainly be coming for the NCAA.

Here are the odds for the top 13 teams, provided by BetDSI sportsbook (SEC teams in bold):

Alabama +225
Ohio State +600
Clemson +640
Georgia +800
Penn State +1200
Michigan +1200
Miami +2000
Texas +2000
Oklahoma +2200
Auburn +2500
Wisconsin +2500
Florida State +3000
LSU +3000

This is the best value on that board. They will waltz through the B12 even without Mayfield, and will be dangerous come playoff time.

Assuming Kyler Murray doesn’t declare for the MLB draft, there is a slim chance we maintain most of the offensive production and somehow get better on defense. Right now I’m not sold a better than 9-3 season.

So if I put $25 down on each of the 4 teams, what could I win?
