Georgia went 3-1 this week and still not ranked. #16 in ELO. The Anti-SEC bias continues

That loss to Kennesaw State is still haunting UGA.

I agree. If not an anti-SEC bias, at least a bias against UGA for some reason.

Don’t be retarded. Kennesaw St is a good team.

It seems like SEC is seeing huge jumps down the rankings with losses that others don't see to be getting. I guess they got tired of the SEC when we were 1-5 and 7 of the top 12.

I know they lost their midweek game but that is way too far of a fall for losing 2/3 to a team like Vandy.

Trends are causing the bigger moves.

Ole Miss, for example, just lost their third consecutive series. That's gonna have consequences in the rankings bigger than just losing two of three to a top five opponent.

Of course, the SEC cannibalizes itself every year by this time anyway.

Midweek
Beat #60 FGCU (21-12)

Georgia

Swept Series over #165 Gardner Webb (14-16)
Won Series 2-1 over #146 N Florida (11-16)
Swept #203 Lipscomb (12-19)
Lost series 1-2 against #6 Tennessee
Lost series 1-2 against #54 Texas A&M
Lost series 1-2 against #11 South Carolina

Midweek

Beat #187 Georgia St (10-27)
Beat #78 Kennesaw St (22-9)
Lost to #78 Kennesaw St (22-9)

Quite a few series left among the ranked teams too. Should be a lot of fun.

Georgia is still sub .500 in conference. One more series win to get to .500 or better might get them ranked

Alabama is 22 in ELO but unranked as well.

Problem is that in-conference we've only faced either the really great teams (going 2-7) or the really bad ones (going 5-1). Plus we have some baffling OOC losses as well that are dragging us down.

Not sure what D1 sees in Texas’ strength of schedule over State (and the head to head). That said, also not sure how BA thinks we deserve to be above Vandy right now. We’ll see this weekend.

With five or six polls for college baseball, you’re going to see a lot of variety in their rankings.

They see 10-2 in conference and 30-8 overall to go along with their name.

Home sweep of SC going a long way for Texas’ rep. Nothing else really notable on that resume. They’re about to take some Ls though. OSU, Tech, and TCU next three weekends.

Basically nailed it. Texas has no business being ranked above Arkansas, Vandy, or State at this point in the season.
