32-31 are the best OT victories. Daniels is still running for that TD!

Where is the moral victory in the OP’s post?
Those are all facts.

LSU, as I noted even before the Aggie game was running out of gas. Especially on the DL with Roy 99 and Mingo 92 playing literally 90-95% of all the snaps in the interior this year. Not much depth on the ends either with Gaye 11 and Ojulari 18 played maybe 80% at the ends, Savion Jones 35 was the 1 backup that saw reps.

Last 2 games it showed vs. A&M and UGA, both games LSU gave up 200 yards rushing from RB's running down hill, not teams running zone read and getting to the edge on LSU.

I think LSU was down to mid 60's in terms of scholarship players the last month of the year, just wore down.

Thought it was 36 or 33?

Sorry, number seems to get lower as the coach Kelly legend grows.

How many scholarship players are on the roster now?

The numbers are who actually played vs. KSU last year. The actual number was 38 or 39 (if you consider Nuss made the trip but did not play as he did not want to burn his Redshirt). LSU had a few players that were on scholarship that could not play (e.g., Emery #4 RB due to academics). So the numbers heading into the fall were 71 initial qualifiers plus 4 awarded scholarships to former preferred walkons. 41 initial qualifiers in the spring plus 15 Portal guys plus 15 HS signees from 2022 plus the 4 preferred WO's who got scholarships.

I think that is a pretty accurate accounting for LSU's roster heading into this season.

There were 39 in the bowl game. There were another 10 or so players that weren't eligible for whatever reason. Maybe 15 of the players in the bowl game either drafted or ran out of eligibility. We have maybe 70 scholarship players now, and probably a half dozen were walkons at some point.

We can probably sign 40 players this year if we want.
