If aTm beats Clemson and loses to Alabama, who loses to an undefeated UGA in the SECC all three could have a case. They would need a ton of help from others, but they'd have an argument.
Now would it happen? No way in hell. They'd probably put in a 1 loss Clemson over aTm, which is completely bogus.

It is likely for two SEC teams to make it in, BUT if for some reason a third team made it in it would cause the four team playoff model to blow up. The other conferences left out would just explode in rage. These non-playoff New Years day bowls have become irrelevant in just a short time. I think it is time to expand the playoff field to eight.
