3 reasons why the SEC needs to trade UF for Miami

Clearly UF can no longer, or does not care to, compete in a conference like the SEC. In their last 10 sec games they are 2-8. The 2-8ers can’t hire proven winners as a HC and aren’t willing to drop bags to get elite recruits. It’s time they go to the ACC or maybe the B1G (which their administration would love since they are now a wannabe NorthWestern or Wisconsin academically).
It’s time for the SEC to drop this dead weight and get a program that seriously wants to compete in modern college football. While Florida provides a big market, they can be easily replaced by a far superior program: The U. Here are 3 reasons why the SEC needs this to happen:
1. Miami cares about winning at the highest level
Miami has big time boosters whom are willing to drop big bags for recruits. See how Miami humiliated Florida for a big recruit last night. That is the second time the U did it this year.
They also went out and hired a proven winner as their head coach: Mario Cristobal. Mario has won pac12 titles as a head coach and groomed Justin Herbert into a top nfl draft pick. That guy is building something special in Coral Gables and Miami will be competing for titles yearly sooner than later.
The 2&8ers go bargin bin shopping with sun belt billy. He is a worse on field coach than Mullen and despite his allegedly better recruiting, he is getting stuffed into lockers with a 8-9th rank class, the same ranking as…Dan Mullen had in his first full year. That’s not taking into account that it could collapse any day as Florida loses more games and could end up in the 15-20 range.
2. Better locale
This one is easy. Miami or Gainesville?
The fertile recruiting grounds of Florida are around Miami, so playing there would give SEC programs more exposure to the best players in that state.
Plus Hard Rock Stadium is much better than BHG.
Trade the least cultured SEC school for what would be the most cultured.
No brainer.
3. Miami is a national brand
The U is a legendary program. They have more titles and more head to head wins over the 2&8ers.
Despite a rocky first year under Cristobal they are eating the lunch of bargin bin billy on the recruiting trail. Clearly the mystique of “The U” is much stronger.
The SEC needs to get rid of dead weight with conference re-alignment, and this trade would be a no brainer.

They hired a proven P5 winner as their HC
And they have big boosters willing to buy recruits no matter the cost
With that talent pool locally they are a program on the rise!

That’s because they play trash ACC teams
If they had Georgia or Bama coming to town it would be packed every week
Manny Diaz left a huge mess for Cristobal. Saban lost to ulm his first year at Bama.

Teams that lose to South Carolina at home should not be confident about beating the breaks off any P5 team

Miami is straight trash.
I’d rather clone Tennessee before letting Miami in.

I get UF is your rival, but this might be the worst take I’ve seen on this board this season.

Don't even compare this with Saban's first year.
You do realise Cristobal has these same types of games every year? He loses to teams that are far worse than his every year, even when he was in the Pac-12.
Remember when Oregon was ranked #3 last year and they lost to a 3-9 Stanford team that didn't win for the rest of the season? Or remember when he shat his pants against ASU while trying to look for a playoff spot 3 years ago?
This isn't the first time this season that he lose to a team that he should have beaten, talent-wise and coaching-wise. He lost to Middle Tennessee by 2 scores, and then he drops one to Duke by about 3 scores.
Manny Diaz should have had another chance, he worked with what he was given. Cristobal may bring in recruits, but what is that going to do if he continues to lose to teams that he should beat?

All 2000 of them because that’s about how many people go to their games?

You lost to South Carolina at home 3 years ago. Won a national title two years later.

I HATE UF, but they generally bring it in a lot of major sports and they are at the top of the academic list after Vandy. Miami is trash.
