I’m actually excited to see Ewers play. I think he’s going to be really good.

I don't see it with his current offensive line. Texas is going to rely on 2-3 true incoming freshman lineman. Should be interesting. Damn no love for Max Johnson..

Neither Hooker nor Jefferson get the respect they deserve, I'm especially stoked to watch Jefferson.

Just hope he plays like shite vs LSU.

What has he done other than be the only QB to suck under Lincoln Riley?

Richardson started one game. Had three turnovers that led to 21 points in around two minutes.

A bunch of guys who have never thrown a meaningful college pass on this list, but not the guy who was the MVP of the national championship game? 247 still butthurt that they didn't rank him higher in high school I guess.

Ewers will be playing behind either:

A.) 4 returning o-line starters who are terrible
...or...
B.) A line comprised of many true freshmen

Texas has truly elite skill position players but when you have a bad o-line, a historically bad defensive front 7 and someone new at Kicker & Punter (so special teams will take a hit) the outlook isn't good for Ewers.

Half that list shouldnt even be on it.

They probably should have just made a top 10.

As a freshman who was coached by a staff who clearly gave up.

And yes, he was probably going up against the most talented defense in CFB since 2011 Bama and LSU.

Richardson is going to be good. Florida doesn't have the pieces around him to compete for a title this year though.

5. KJ JEFFERSON, ARKANSAS

(Photo: Getty)
SEC quarterback ranking: No. 2 (out of eight).

2021 statistics: 198 of 294, 2,676 yards, 21 touchdowns, four interceptions; 146 rushes, 664 yards, six touchdowns.

2022 outlook: Here's a player with impressive size who does everything you want out of the quarterback spot. Few players enhanced their athletic development as much as K.J. Jefferson last season, going from hopeful impact starter to team MVP and one of the SEC's best by season's end. Jefferson's not as tall as Cam Newton at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, but plays a similar, rugged style that is the perfect fit for the Razorbacks' attack under Kendal Briles. Need him to get tough yardage on third-and-manageable? He can do that. Need him to pull it and fire one to the second level with precision? Jefferson checks that box. It's the physical nature at which he plays along with leadership qualities that makes Jefferson a potential SEC MVP candidate in 2022.

I’m the only one who thinks Sark can design an offense to get the ball out of his hands i guess

Max Johnson is objectively bad. I don’t score what the stat sheet says. He made some timely plays but his overall performance last season was not good. I don’t expect that to change going to play in college station.
