O/U 8 games

quote:

Eight wins appear like a near-certainty with FAU, USF, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Samford, Missouri and Florida State as the likely victories considering the level of competition.

Nine wins are likely as well if the Gators can take down Kentucky. Their toughest challenges will be against Alabama, LSU and Georgia.

I think FSU will be close games too, I know that FSU has sucked recently, but I’m buying half the hype on that UCF QB transfer, he put up numbers before he got hurt

I see 8 wins fairly easily. Any more after that will be tough. I'll say 9-3.

And I just noticed my comments match what was posted.

10-2 with losses to Bama and Georgia.

I think that Jones is going to be better than people think.

They couldn't beat 2020 LSU and will now be facing basically the same team minus a lot of their offensive production from 2020.

I'd be surprised to see them win that game but its an odd series.

They couldn’t? Or they didn’t? I think a semi full strength Florida takes care of Lsu fairly easily in 2020.

Florida football has a lot of work ahead in replacing production for 2021 season

quote:

The Gators return just 55% of their production from a year ago. On offense, that number is 41%. In addition to quarterback Kyle Trask, UF has to replace receivers Trevon Grimes and Kadarius Toney as well as tight end Kyle Pitts. On defense, Kyree Campbell, Brad Stewart, Marco Wilson, Ventrell Miller and others are all gone. That side of the ball is more encouraging, though, as 70% of Florida’s production returns.

Unfortunately, defense was the weakness for UF last year, and 2021 looks like it could be poised to be a rebuilding season for the Gators. Here are the full returning production rankings.

He had one of those Alex Smith/Joe Theisman type leg snaps. If he was never injured, what you are describing would be a stretch to put all that on this kid. The best chance FSU has got that they are headed back is coach Norvell. Is he the real deal?

Who were they missing besides Pitts?

I know LSU had several backups in the secondary and a walk on playing at running back as well as very limited depth because of Covid issues (49 scolly players available at one point during the game).

2021 LSU should theoretically have better players playing in those positions.

Even if you want to say UF beat themselves or some shite, the fact that the worst LSU team in at least 20 years even kept it close is embarrassing. Same goes for Aggie too

A&M had a >99% win probability in the 3rd quarter. Check the graph. It was never in question.
