Toughest games at homes, winnable ones all on the road

0-8, 1-7 if we are lucky

Georgia, LSU (Bama also bye before these)
Oklahoma, Mizzou

So we get 4 teams coming off a bye and don’t play anyone off a bye that played a game the week before. It’s a tough setup, again

No Mississippi State or Auburn for the second year. And Ole Miss in September?

Are crackheads making these schedules?

Same opponents swapped home/away, and in different order. Only differences in conference play

Anyone with a competitive bone in them would not be complaining about this but would be strutting like a peacock.

Yeah, Bama is the number one for much of the SEC.
You should be proud.

What an absolute crock of shite. I thought last year's schedule was just a temporary "bridge" schedule until they could figure out how scheduling could work.

Everyone plays the exact same schedule as last year, with road and home reversed.

So if you were screwed with an insanely hard schedule last year, you get double screwed.

If you were granted an extremely easy schedule, you get that same gift twice.

Can't believe the majority of AD's signed off on this.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Texas all with a bye week before playing UGA. Thanks SEC. Guess Kirby pissed off Sankey with the scheduling comment

Florida and Georgia both off before the cocktail party, but that is now a disadvantage for Georgia? Georgia is off before the Bama game as well, so neither of these games are a disadvantage for Georgia.

Huh? I mentioned 4 teams, not just Florida. Show me another CFP contender in the SEC that has 4 good teams with byes heading into their game

I'm just saying you have 2 games where both teams have a bye the week prior and you failed to mention that. Only that Bama and Fla have byes.

When you complain about 4 teams having a bye before playing Georgia, it is relevant that Georgia also has byes before 2 of them as well.

Everyone is so concerned about having a bye before a big game, but I think it is better to have an easy game before a big game. It keeps you on schedule, and if all goes right the starters won't play much in the 2nd half. Some teams can lose all their momentum with a bye.

Not sure why you felt the need to bend things for UGA when you posted this. GT is an away game. UF is a neutral site (that counts as an away game this year for UGA and a home game for UF). Doesn't really matter much but you got it wrong.

Georgia Bulldogs
Home: Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Texas
Away: Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State

Aug. 30: vs. Marshall
Sept. 6: vs. Austin Peay
Sept. 13: at Tennessee
Sept. 20: Idle
Sept. 27: vs. Alabama
Oct. 4: vs. Kentucky
Oct. 11: at Auburn
Oct. 18: vs. Ole Miss
Oct. 25: Idle
Nov. 1: vs. Florida (Jacksonville)
Nov. 8: at Mississippi State
Nov. 15: vs. Texas
Nov. 22: vs. Charlotte
Nov. 29: at Georgia Tech

It depends on the injury situation. A bye is much better to recover from injuries than a game against a weak opponent.
