Kelly used to allude to the fact that ND had certain challenges as to what type of athletes were realistic that they could go after. Still early but Doesn’t seem to be the case with The new coach. Seems like they’re signing a 4 star every other day

That’s a nice way of saying the academic standards at LSU are low.

I could really give a shite about ND’s recruiting. BK is pulling in some STUDS this week.

ND has deep pockets, they should recruit well. I’m curious if Freeman will continue the consistency Kelly established.
ND fans quickly forget the period of just how terrible they were from the time Holtz Left to when Kelly showed up. Weiss maybe had one good year in which he played against Jamarcus Russell, who convinced people on a national stage that he was the best QB prospect ever.

Notre Dame may be the single biggest winner from NIL in the country. This is all speculation - I don’t think Notre Dame was very aggressive in recruiting like Alabama, Clemson, etc., meaning they relied on their booster network securing guys behind the scenes. Notre Dame can go all out now and their network can compete with A&M and Texas on NIL spending.

The problem with BK at ND was his teams rarely had elite skill players that could compete with SEC speed.

Not sure if that's a ND or BK problem, guess we will see.

NIL has changed that.

As others have mentioned, ND is well postured to see huge gains from NIL money.

Well now that you can simply have a booster write a check to sign elite recruits, Notre Dame is all in on football

When BK was there, he had to beg for a separate dorm for football players and a nutrition center

Did you know the football players there stay in dorms with regular students? How ridiculous

I thought there was an NCAA rule that you could not have an athletes only dorm? Seems like That came about years ago when UK built a luxurious (for the time) dorm for their basketball team. Rupp hall maybe?
They were also giving jobs to basketball players to “ clean out horse stables”, paying them way above the going hourly rate and nobody on the team was actually cleaning out stables!
