Relative to where the media voted each at SEC media days?
SEC East
1. Georgia (172)
2. Kentucky (4)
3. Tennessee (1)
4. Florida
5. South Carolina (3)
6. Missouri
7. Vanderbilt (1)
SEC West
1. Alabama (177)
2. Texas A&M (3)
3. Arkansas (1)
4. Ole Miss
5. LSU
6. Mississippi State
7. Auburn
Has to be LSU, right? The most talent to go with all the uncertainty.
Maybe Florida if things come together more quickly than expected?
Someone obviously thinks Rattler is gonna be good, and USC has room to move up.
Auburn can’t do worse..

I think MSU will give the conference headaches especially if they have a field goal kicker and Leach will use him.

They’re the first pick for me just because of that. If they finish 5th in the division, they’ll have finished two spots higher than their projection. Who else realistically is going to do that?

Maybe. But they could be pretty good and still go 7-5 or 8-4

That’s a LOT of relative coin-flips. Every year a Top-25 caliber team in the SEC West goes .500 or worse in conference play

That's also a lot of high octane offenses.

Only way I see LSU finishing 5th in the West is if Ole Piss and Arky have really good seasons. I think LSU is looking at 8-4. Whether that's 3rd best or 5th best in the West will depend on those 2 teams.
