Win the national championship without either being Alabama or beating Alabama.

The only other team to do that since 2005 was 2013 Florida State.

2021 - Georgia (beat Alabama)
2020 - Alabama
2019 - LSU (beat Alabama)
2018 - Clemson (beat Alabama)
2017 - Alabama
2016 - Clemson (beat Alabama)
2015 - Alabama
2014 - Ohio State (beat Alabama)
2013 - Florida State
2012 - Alabama
2011 - Alabama
2010 - Auburn (beat Alabama)
2009 - Alabama
2008 - Florida (beat Alabama)
2007 - LSU (beat Alabama)
2006 - Florida (beat Alabama)

Today’s moderately interesting stat is brought to you by BranchDawg

Honestly, this is why I am happy with expanded playoffs- so many decent teams over the years weren't given a chance to even try. It was just the devil you know when it came to plugging into the usual suspects in the BCS and playoff.
