Looks like you dont think talent level is a relevant factor. Not shocking coming from the guy who thinks YPP says more about Fromm and Newman than YPA and YPR.

No one expected him to carry Wake Forest to a victory vs. Clemson. The range of outcomes has quite a few stops before it hits unmitigated disaster though.
What part of "might have been the biggest talent disparity in the nation for a conference game" do you not understand? We are talking about the WR corp with the worst separation in the NATION, and I am sure it was even worse late in the season when the stud was out. In other words, that game had disaster written all over it.
BUT talent levels of teams dont matter using your "not a good excuse" logic.

What is behind this Obsession to place an @$$-raped Sunshine & Clemson at # 1?
That’s about as ridiculous as anointing that Broken little Bittch Sabah # 1 in 2019 after his MERCs quit and took a 51-16 Medieval @$$ beatdown. We all watched Dabo go and put his hand on Sabah’s shoulder like an ALPHA MALE DOG PISSING ON A BETA. What a fkn embarrassment for our SEC.
Two years in a row these Coaches Poll @$$holes anoint the @$$-raped.
We know what likely awaits Clemson this year!

what's that? Their 4th appearance in the NC game in 5 years? I mean yeah their conference is terrible, but they aren't, far from it. And they're not likely to lose any games until the playoffs.

Ok man. He's great and drug the worst P5 team (Worse than 2 win Arkansas) to 8 wins all by himself.

It matters. It's just not the Grand Canyon between Wake Forest and the rest of the garbage conference they play in like you're trying to make it seem.

Newman was worth the 12th most wins above average in college football, so he must have been doing something right.....and then his WR corp, which had no depth, got demolished, and his shoulder was banged up carrying the team.

Sure. He looks like a pretty good player on a bad team when going against poor competition.

Doesn't help that they played the only 3 teams on their schedule with 8 wins at that time either.

Its tough for low talent teams to overcome injuries while also facing tougher opposition. Its a bad combo.
Thankfully for UGA it happened, or else he would have been off to the NFL draft.

English Language Baw!
My point was: Both Alabama and Clemson get anointed #1 in consecutive years after having their shite pushed in the year before
What’s the bigger joke? Clemson # 1 in 2020 or Gumps # 1 in 2019
Do you even comprehend basic English.
Clemson is no better than a 4th or 5th ranked team in 2020. North Carolina & Notre Dame could beat them in ACC Play. We will see.
LSU will skull phukk em again in event of any rematch ...

In fairness, RB10, if Wake was playing against poor competition, yet their talent level was worse, what does that say about Wake Forest?
I don't have any idea if Newman will do well or not. But I find it odd that you seem to feel compelled to insist he will not do well.

This post is just more validation that shitty arse Louisiana just might have the worst K-12 educational system in the Country
Your Team lost 14 draftees plus another what - 6 to 8 FA signees, that's at least 20 guys lost to the NFL, and no matter how good you think LSUs Recruiting is, you lose a 1st round draft choice at QB, and tons of Talent all of over the Roster, your Team will take a huge step back, while Clemson has an elite maybe 1st rnd RB and an elite Top5 NFL QB coming back, plus they have good experience returning throughout the Roster
Going into the Pre Season based on what OSU and LSU lost , Clemson should be pre season #1
If I had my way, there'd be no Pre Season Polls and no Polls at all until half the season is Played, all pre season Polls do is bias the Polls that do count when they start up

Who says their talent level was worse? The recruiting rankings?
The same measure that says Arkansas should be somewhere in the middle of the pack in the SEC and beating Missouri and MSU regularly? Meanwhile, they haven't won more than 4 games since 2016 and haven't won a conference game since 2017. More goes into how good or bad a team is than recruiting rankings. As a UGA fan, you should be well aware of this.

Well, djs pointed you to an article on 247 (I think it was) But, possibly it is based upon rankings. Are you under the impression that rankings do not matter? It is a fact that the teams that win the National Championship typically recruit very well. People like to say rankings are opinion or that they do nto reflect reality, yet in a disproportionate amount of time the teams that finish in the top 5 an recruiting will win the National championship. So, yes. Rankings do matter and do tend to reflect a teams strength and weaknesses.

They aren't the only thing that matters.

Yes, thank you for reiterating my point that recruiting rankings aren't the only thing that matters, I guess?

1. Clemson
2. Ohio State
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
5. LSU
but I will say that LSU's lost a lot, but is returning plenty too.
Regarding LSU/UGA, both lost their starting QB. LSU returns a guy with talent who's been there 3 years, was in the system and knows the players; UGA has a transfer.
For this season if we get to play, that might make a difference.
Both play Alabama, Auburn and Florida, so schedule is comparable.
I've got more of a problem with Clemson ahead of Ohio State, to be honest. I'd say Ohio State wins that rematch... but again we don't know what this spring/summer is doing the the programs.

Honestly I’m surprised LSU is even in the Top 5. You guys lost a ton. That’s usually what happens when you win a championship
LSU just a one hit wonder.
but Georgia? in the playoffs and on to the championship . . .
oh, wait.
preseason polling? there's the rub

thinking UGA has a shot at the championship every year only to be denied at the end of the season.

you proudly represent the SEC... sort of!

You should read what he had to say about Burrow before last season. He has a thing about digging his heels in on projections when he’s completely guessing. I doubt he knows much about Newman outside what his stat sheet says.

I'm the only one digging my heels in here. I'm flattered that you remember me though, even if it is a little bit weird.
