I know it happens, but never personally see a team rebel against a coach like that. It wasn’t that they didn’t try hard (they did) but they did not trust the coaches at all once the going got tough. That coupled with the high school level football theory didn’t bode well for us. He may be ok as a coordinator, but def not head coach at SEC level.
You can lose a game like a man (especially in the SEC), but if you lose your team you are done for.

He won't do anything as an OC in the SEC either. He is a buffer for Gus just in case his seat gets hot again and he needs to fire someone. Gus is not going to let him be in complete control of the offense. Chad is a complete idiot and how he won seven games at SMU just tells you how pathetic the AAC is compared to the SEC.
He is fine as a high school as that is where his success was but in college, it is above his head and he has no clue.

SMU drastically improved since he left. They were actually ranked for a little while last season

Sonny Dykes had to recruit I believe 10 or so grad transfers because the roster was a wreck. I wouldn't mind taking Dykes right now, he did well at Lousiana Tech but made the mistake of going to Cal where they don't care a bout football. He led SMU to it's best year since the pony express.

In that 7 win season, all of SMU’s conference wins were against teams with losing records. SMU only had 1 win over an American team with a winning record during Chad’s time there. Shocking that he was hired by Arkansas for that.
