Bednarik Watch List 2020
As expected, LSU leads with SEC with three candidates:
• Derek Stingley
• Jacoby Stevens
• Jabril Cox
I was shocked to see Tyler Shelvin left out.
“Animal Mutha” was a beast last year and in true Savage form led the SEC in run stops drawing double coverage in nearly every play
Shelvin is the SEC’s highest-graded returning run-stopper in 2020. PFF graded Shelvin’s overall performance last year at an 88.3.

Man, that really says something about Alabama's defense last season to have only two guys on this list (and one of them didn't even play).

UGA rotates too much in the front 7.
We have 2 other ILBs that will most definitely get drafted higher than Monty. We have 4 OLBs who in my opinion will be drafted higher than Monty. We have 2 linemen who will be drafted higher in my opinion.
But none of the will get preseason hype because we rotate the front 7 so much.
Of course, we have a CB (stokes) and S (lecounte) on the list. We dont rotate the back 4. It wouldn't shock me to see Stevenson or Cine get added to the list by years end.

I get all that. But you would think a possible candidate for 1st team SEC would at least be on the list at this point in the game.
