No road games with crowd noise. That's not a real SEC schedule and never will be.

Two way street. Bama's two biggest regular season games were in Tuscaloosa. Home-field advantage is a luxury that Bama did not have last year. If having your home crowd is as important as you say it is, then portions of Bama's schedule were more difficult than they would be in a normal year

Homefield advantage is less than 3 points, closer to 2 points and that's the max. It's really not a significant factor except in close games.

They have done studies on it, and the biggest factor wasn't the crowd, it was how familiar the team was with the place. Places that never traveled to before and had odd layouts in facilities gave the most home field advantage. The more familiar they are, the more comfortable they are and they did slightly better. The study started out expecting LSU to have the biggest homefield advantage, didn't turn out that way.

Most home field records are based in large part on cupcake games.

And this is all adds up to just 2-3 points max.

Additionally, I don't know what LSU fans are crying about. They are more likely to see their team shut out in LA vs Alabama than they are to see a win. And while that is an all time stat, it's even worse in recent years.

since willie seems reluctant to do so, here are the overall conference wins and losses for 2019 LSU vs 2020 Bama SEC opponents

2019 LSU conference opponents were 34-38 in conference play
2020 Bama conference opponents were 56-51 in conference play

ouch

2020 * Covid Season

The most amazing season ever.

Yep. It showed us who the truly great coaches were due to how well they were able to keep their teams healthy while also keeping their eyes on the prize amidst the deadly second wave. The fact that Alabama was able to navigate through it is a testament to the team's chemistry and overall greatness.

Bama played at full strength and all of their opponents did not. You don’t get to claim GOAT status when you played teams with multiple starters out each game from opt outs and Covid sits. Asterisk

Only 7 of the 68 draft picks on Bama schedule missed playing Bama because of Covid. 4 of those were LSU opt-outs. Its not the rest of CFB's problem that LSU players quit at a higher rate than anybody else. Bama lost 2 All-Americans to significant injuries and still dominated. Quit making excuses

It’s not excuses, you Bama fans keep implying it was a normal season when all the top talent across college opted out. No telling how those teams would have fared at full strength throughout the season, LSU included.

This is an incredible stat. Great job researching all of this (or finding it from someone else who did)

starting WR Jaylen Waddle - out first snap vs UT
starting center Landon Dickerson - out for the playoffs
HEAD frickING COACH - out the entire week of the Iron Bowl
Two starting DB's out for the title game
Starting DT LaBryan Ray out for most of the season
Heisman winning WR only played one half of the title game

I'm sure I'm missing a few. Yeah. 'Bama had no one out, numbnuts. Great insight.

Doesn’t seem to help LSU all that much when they play Alabama. Must be pretty overrated.

Bama was also the first national champion to not have to play in a hostile road environment

It would have counted if LSU didn't suck, and you know it!
