2020-2021 Alabama Basketball Team Overrated?

What was so special about their resume on the season?
Yea, they made it to the Sweet 16, but their path there was incredibly easy and they lost to a team seeded way under them. The SEC was down this season and Alabama only beat one ranked team on the season (at the time they played)...finishing 1-3 against ranked teams. Losses to Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri. Lone win against Tennessee (lol).
Should Nate Oats take another job while he’s a hot commodity? Texas?

100%, I think they were predicted to win the league and finished towards the bottom this year. Also very poor showing in the conference tournament.

Just for the sake of discussion on a slow day... I'll bite.
Overrated by who? They finished SEC regular season and tournament champions, and had more Q1 wins than just about anybody, with zero bad losses. They lost in the Sweet 16 to an 11 seed - who probably should have been maybe a 3 or 4 seed. Their low seeding was due to losing the last 4 games of the season, all by single digits, and all 4 of those teams made the Sweet 16.

OU at the time was good. Then they resume’d their way into the Dance. Missouri is the same as what OU did. Arkansas proved to be championship worthy. Alabama had a great year for their standard. Let’s hope this is just a blueprint for Tide Basketball in the future.

That 7-5 nonconference record is very telling.
Beat one decent nonconference team all year. Beat 4 decent conference teams.
Pretty overrated. Look for Bama to be back around 18-15 next season.

I don’t think they were overrated at all. Maybe overrated on this board but a 2 seed was the proper seeding. They won the conference and the conference tourney which is something to be proud of.
